MUA Heaven & Earth Palette

MUA Heaven and Earth Eyeshadow Palette: superdrug £4

MUA is a brand I've never tried before, Not to be a makeup snob but makeup for a £1 a piece doesnt sell itself to me! I think if it wasn't for other blogs I probably wouldn't take a second look at this sort of stuff. People are comparing this to the Urban Decay Naked Palette, and honestly I think its so much better than that. I find on me the Naked Palette colours are really grey, ashy and dull. They look pretty darn awful to be honest,  UDPP is the most pointless product I've ever used too! The brush was probably the best thing about the whole thing pallete! Although I think the UD palette is worth it, as the eyeshadow quality is just lovely and pigmented, I just think its not right for someone of my coloring.

I really like the MUA Heaven and Earth pallete, for a low end makeup it really isnt all that bad. Warm toned, shimmery with a wide range of colours in one little palette. The shadows do feel a little soft like they are going to break, but they apply very nicely. My favourite colour is the sort of peachy pink colour and the lovely warm coppery brown.

Being honest, I'm not going to be giving up my MAC palletes and hail this as the only thing I'll ever be using in the future. However it does make a nice addition to my overflowing neutral collection, especially the highlight colours as I'm running out of my favourite highlight. I think you should seriously consider getting this over a Naked Pallete if you have similar colourings to me, plus its only £4 which is pretty good for what it is!

  5. I was considering buying the UB palate since I've seen so much hype about it, but I've always been the type who'd much rather get a whole new makeup bag's worth for £20 than one little eyeshadow...I'm just stingy like that ;)

I absolutely LIVE in neutral eyeshadow, so with this being only £4, it's definitely going into my shopping bag. I've only tried the crackle effect nail varnish by MUA but I'm happy as larry with that, so I'm guessing I'll be happy with this too :)

  8. I'm kind of with you on the naked palette. It's nice... but I don't know, there's something about it which I just don't like at all. I think all the darker colours tend to look the same! I do love Half-Baked, Toasted and Smog though, I think they are gorgeous. And have you tried Sidecar in it? Oh my, it's just awful. I'm not really into the 'massive glitter particles everywhere' look at all. Especially after wearing it for a full day and there is glitter down your cheeks! This looks a lot nicer though, kind of wish I saved my money.

Oh and I hate UDPP too, I think it's crap! I love the e.l.f primer though, I think it's way better. Sorry for the essay! xxx

  12. these are the only shades i wear really, i dont think you can wear like bright blues and purples unless you have blue eyes but these colours really work for me. i have the blush professional earthy pallet with 88 colours which was £8.99. that is reallllly good, i got that instead of the naked pallet.

  19. I think skin colouring may be why I love the Naked palette and wasn't so keen on this one. I have olive skin so this MUA looked a bit weird on me whereas the Naked palette is perfect! x

  23. that is bargainous! i'm a bit of a fan of the sleek palettes at the moment - they are also super cheap but had forgotten how good the quality of the urban decay ones are. might have to check out the mua ones.

  24. I've been admiring these for a while, but they're out of stock on the website and at my local store! I'm glad to hear the quality is good on them, as the cheapness made me apprehensive too when I first saw them!

  25. I bought this the other day and I find that the quality is amazing for 4 pounds!
