Snaps from the Debenhams SS12 press day.  It was in Victoria House, which was actually where one of the Look Shows was held! I knew I remembered the place from somewhere! Was a huge press day spanning across loads of rooms. I loved Henry Hollands offerings and the pops of brights and 60's elements. Really enjoyed the Debenhams Beauty section too, which kindly gave us some generous goodybags! They showed us the new offerings for Spring Summer brands at the Debenhams Beauty Hall. I'm VERY intrested in the new Benefit blush but cannot remember what its called!

Loved all the homeware too, obviously I dont own my own place yet, but when I do its being filled with beautiful things. They had this whole table laid out with Union Jack decor which was just too cute!

118 118 TacheOff

sponsored post

Male cancer is something that is pretty close to my heart, Some of you may know my life long best friend actually died of cancer a little over a year ago now. So cancer awareness its something I feel very passionately about, I'm sure most people are starting to become more aware of Movember as its grown so successfully over the past few years (or the noticed a increase in top lip fur this month!) . But if you didn't the basic jist is in November boys ahem, men! grow out their moustaches or beards to varying degrees of success in order to raise awareness for male forms of cancer. Its just one of those things its a bit hard to do if your a lady! I think the girl version of Movember would be growing out their eyebrows, but unfortunately if I left mine longer than a day I'd end up with a Unibrow!

However, 118 118 have created a fun little Facebook app to promote Movember and we can all join in! All you do upload a photo, resize, add a tash and your done. My personal fave is the Pornstar or the Finger Twiddler!Plus, if you pop your moustached photo as your Facebook profile image, 118 118 will donate £1 to Movember. Its just for fun and doesn't cost anything, as 118 118 are donating on your behalf.  Unless of course you want to donate then please do every penny counts! Also everyone who Mo's themselves is entered into a giveaway to win a Ipad2!

PERSONAL DISCLAIMER: This is a sponsored post but I'm donating the fee I was offered to my friends charity Joels Wish and to the wonderful people at Severn Hospice which helped him tremendously through his final months and kept him comfortable until he passed.

Dead Sea Spa Magic Silky Smooth Body Lotion,Korres Wild Rose 24 hour Moisturizer, Rahua Voluminious Shampoo and Conditioner,
Vines Ayurvedas Soul Luminious Skin Mask, Studio Makeup Rich Hydration Lipstick in Really Red

This months Boudoir Prive Box just isn't to my taste. Its full of repeat brands that have been in other boxes, including Korres and Studio Makeup,  which were in the last months Boudoir Prive box and Dead Sea Skin Magic (which I've got no intrest at all in!) I'm worried about using the mask even though I've actually done a patch test which came out fine. So many people have complained about it on their Facebook Page, I don't think I want to risk using it. The Studio Makeup lipstick is a nice deep red, but a little too dark for my personal tastes. I love the packaging though as it has a really satisfying click mechanism. Korres moisturizer, yeah thats fine as I do actually like and use Korres products. Im interested in the Shampoo/Conditoner as I missed it in a previous GlossyBox, But nothing makes me go "oooh that looks interesting! I'd like to try it!"

I've decided to un-sub from Boudoir Prive after the Christmas box and maybe give Carmine another chance (despite not liking the products they included this month either!). The Christmas box should be out in the next few weeks apparently. Overall with Boudoir Prive I find their service is always late and I find it doesn't appeal to me as the other box I pay for, Feel Unique, which is definitely my favourite and most recommended out of all the sample boxes I've tried. I get that with these boxes its simply not going to please everyone, I can accept getting products I dislike. The thing I'm most interested in is trying new brands, not the same old ones all the time. At the end of the day Im not gonna cry about it and just unsubscribe if Im not happy with something!

PS. Im a touch miffed by their choice of quote for the leaflet? Is this just me? I think the first part is fine,  just the lazy bit just seems off to me. I like to make myself look nice as much as the next women but I dont think its fair to say people who dont are lazy or ugly?
Im currently working on a post about the reality behind beauty boxes, which should be up next week. If you can let me know any thoughts you have on any of the beauty boxes, why you like them/why you dont like them let me know in comments!

barry m lip paint in 52

Barry M lip paint in 52 shocking pink : superdrug (£4.49)

After my woes with the Look Beauty Double Hit Lip in Pink Punch I needed a nice bright pink in my lipstick collection! Bought this Barry M lip paint in Topshop a few days ago. I saw it at another Barry M counter in Superdrug but the counter was so filthy I just couldn't bring myself to buy it. 52 is a bright blue toned neon pink. A touch drying like all the matte Barry M lip paints, which can look cakey on dry lips. I think its because of the high colour pigmentation to make it super bright leads the formula to be quite thick and stiff. I like matte lipsticks personally so this is a good'un for me. I wouldn't recommend it if you had dry lips though as it really can look cakey! Its best worn after the lips have been exfoliated and a lip balm applied under it. Its not really something I'd recommend to most people but the colour and price are spot on! It wears well but does stain the lips a little so be careful!

Photos from yesterday! Went to the River Island Press Day, which was a lovely setting but the clothes didnt really do it for me. I guess I like simpler, less colourful things! I like alot of their ethnic inspired clothing though Was a bit too 80's and out there! The Dune/Bertie/Piet de Terre press day was lovely, such a wonderful setting. The theme was a secret garden and they had all these quirky elements like the shoes in between the lettuces! Very.co,uk was really good as well, had a really summery feel to it. Me and Kate donned some fake 'tashs for the occasion! And then went on the London Eye with Glossy Box! Was a brilliant day!
