Benefit POWda WOWza

llymlrs Benefit POWda WOWza review llymlrs Benefit POWda WOWza review llymlrs Benefit POWda WOWza review
Benefit POWda WOWza: debenhams (£19.50)*

I bought this with a voucher I got at the Debenhams Press day alongside a few other items (including the Chanel Eyeshadow Im obsessed with!). Im not really the biggest Benefit fan, I think their packaging puts me off a little. Mainly because Im not into that retro-girly-whimsical sort of look so its not to my taste. I always hear people raving about the products, and I am intrigued by the brand,I just dont know why Im so tentative when buying things from them!

I decided upon the Benefit POWda WOWza face kit which contains 3 of Benefits most popular face powders: Hoola Bronzer, Coralista Blusher and Bella Bamba Blusher. All the powders are soft and easy to blend.  For cardboard packaging I'm surprised how well its made, its very sturdy and solid and doesnt feel like its going to break, although if you chucked it in a makeup bag it would probably end up a bit tatty looking!

Hoola: This is the same size as the little one I got in the Tan about Town kit, I actually really like it. At first I thought it was a bit grey but actually looks alot warmer on my skin. Because its a matte powder its great for contouring your face. Its a very natural and subtle bronzer.

Coralista: I've really wanted to try Coralista for a long time as I imagined I would love it. Being a warm toned peachy coral, it sounded perfect. However it just doesnt really show up on my skin, Maybe because I do like to be tan (orange) but overall felt the colour wasn't there for me. I have been wearing it with the Balm Frat Boy on the apples of my cheeks as the powder does give my skin a lovely glow, just not enough colour for my personal tastes.

Bella Bamba: This is probably my favourite of the two blushes, its a bright medium toned pink with a golden shimmer running through it. Initially I thought it was a standard Nars Orgasm variation but it does pull alot pinker. Its fairly pigmented and gives the face a nice glow.

Overall I'd really recommend this Benefit POWda WOWza face kit, its good value considering you get three of Benefits most popular shades in one box. I dont personally go through a whole blush so its nice to have them without committing to full size. A full size Benefit box powder is £23.50 after all. After a quick google I've seen it reduced to around £13 at a few places but they are sold out. Its worth looking around though! It is limited edition, but if you can get your hands on it I highly reccomend it if your just starting to build up a Benefit collection.

  2. I didn't think you were THAT orange so Coralista wouldn't show up! I look really embarrassed if I don't limit how much I apply. Never tried Bella Bamba as I thought it would be the same thing, oh wellz gonna buy it one day as I have all the others naturally! Hoola is the only one I've ever hit pan on (and probably the only product ever too)!

  8. I am dying to try both Hoola and Bella Bamba so I am very tempted to try this too! I like my fake tan also (nc35-42 ish) and Coralista doesn't really show up on me either, though it's a nice highlight! :o) xxx

  11. I love Benefit face powders, I think they are amazing! I remember thinking if only they had Sugabomb or Thrrobb in here instead of Hoola, then it would be such great value for me!

  12. This was very helpful to read as I was wondering whether to get this or not, and I eventually just went and bought the standard sized Bella Bamba as that was the one I was most keen to try, and I love it. I'm not really one for bronzing and I have too many coral blushes! Also, you're right about the packaging- mine has been on a few trips in my make-up back now and the corners are starting to scuff :( still love the product though! xx

  16. I have the regular size of Coralista and Hoola, and I both LOVE them. I think that this set is really worth the money, too bad I already have two of the colours.
And in fact on my skin I have to be careful with Coralista because I can easily end up with too much color. With the fluffy brush I am using now it is always perfect, but with the brush I was using before which is denser it was always very colourful. Maybe you should use a denser brush and you will get a result that suits you best.
BTW I really like your blog, and I am really tempted by Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Bolero because of you. Is it really worth the money, would you recommend me to buy it (even at full price) ??

    1. ive been using a mac 129 which is dense as well as a 109, i just cant get anythingmore than a sheen!

i really like it, i think its expensive and not really a necessary thing but it is really good and the colour is really different from alot of things I've seen before, being a nude bright coral!

  23. I'd love to find this as like you I find it hard committing myself to a full sized product and would prefer to try all three out as I tend not to go through too much product for my fair skin! x

  33. i really love benefit products but have shamefully never tried any of the blushers or bronzers. i have admired from afar and if i could/if i had endless money, i would buy them all. however, luckily, i think this post has answered my prayers. after reading it, i really want to check this product out! and because it's limited edition, i have more of a reason to buy it! X
