MAC Pink Nouveau: MAC Cosmetics (£13.50)
MAC Pink Nouveau is a satin finished lipstick in a blue toned bright medium pink colour. I don't normally like too blue toned lipstick (MAC Snob) as they dont tend to suit my awkward skin tone, However on me it does look like a bright barbie pink. Its not a neon pink, but very bright and a really fun colour pop. I quite like satin finished lipsticks, they are similar to the MAC Matte formula, but a touch glossier. The formula reminds me of Revlons Matte lipsticks, matte but still has a bit of slip so it doesnt feel too dry. The colour would suit a range of skin tones, providing your not scared about doing a statement lip!
MAC Pink Nouveau is a big, bold lipstick colour but I think its suitable enough for everyday wear too, maybe paired with a simple neutral eye look. I honestly dont know when I bought this, I found it under my bed while I was clearing stuff out! It was still boxed and unopened! Pink Nouveau is big with all the celebs~ so its a really popular MAC shade. Once I realised I owned it I did a happy dance (photographed it) then applied it straight away. I'm so happy that I discovered this again!

ReplyDeleteI have snob and this looks soooooo similar.. except that maybe snob looks a slightly more milky pink shade, this seems a little brighter! Satin finish is sooo much better than matte, the lipstick feels so nice and thick but doesn't dry the lips at all! amazing.

I definatley prefer satin finish, I find matte just dries out my lips. I have an awkward skin tone too and tried a variation of cheap and expensive lip-sticks, so I've organised a consultation at MAC in Fenwicks to get an expert opinion of my suited colour! http://simplesophiecn.blogspot.com/ ox
ReplyDeleteThe colour of this is so pretty! Really suits you - though I love bold coloured lips on other people, i'm not so sure of it on myself. I'm more of a fan of heavy eyeliner than bold lips, but this one looks so lovely i'm swaying a little! X

I absolutely ADORE this lipstick but unfortunately on me it was really really patchy and streaky, but I am determined to attempt to find a same coloured lipliner to solve the problem! I think because I have such pigmented lips that once it wears off a bit it just looks really nasty on me. But I will persevere!

I saw this post and it reminded me of a colour i bought from MAC earlier in the year and love... low and behold it's the same one.
