Philip Kingsley Elasticizer: Feel Unique (full size:£22.50)
via Glossy Box* or Feel Unique
I first tried a Philip Kingsley Elasticizer after getting it in a beauty box a few months ago and instantly fell in love and then another came in the last Feel Unique Box a last wee. Up until around August last year I never really looked after my hair, despite what it might look like in photos it was really dry, coarse and matted. Anything I tried to do to it would just leave it looking either too greasy or dry it out. I also suffer from a sensitive scalp so most scented hair treatments I cant us, Im looking at you Herbal Essences.
The Elasticizer is a "pre-shampoo" treatment, I was sceptical about this as I'd never heard of a pre shampoo treatment, Ive only ever used or heard of after conditioning treatments. You apply the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer to dry hair in sections and then leave for 10-20 minutes before washing and blow drying as normal. My hair is normal to dry, Its much dryer at the ends as I've used bleach on it to get it to Ombre. I also use Morrocan Oil daily, but I like to make sure I use a deep hair treatment at least once a week. The Philip Kingsley Elasticizer leaves my hair so soft, smooth and sleek, to the point where it actually doesn't feel like my own hair! I tend to use it only on the Ombre part of my hair as the rest of it doesnt need it (and it doesnt waste product too!) and the results are amazing. My hair feels fluffy but also really easy to manage.
I still haven't but the bullet and purchased a full size Philip Kingsley Elasticizer. I do prefer the packaging of the smaller sized one though (although if I could afford it I'd buy the grandaddy of them all!), I don't think having a tub is a good idea as personally I tend to apply more product than I'd need and I don't think "double dipping" is very hygienic! At £22.50 its obviously not going to be everyone's cup of tea, I'd highly recommend it if you had bleached or damaged hair and really needed something to give moisture and softness back to the hair.

I really want to try this, my hair is so dry! It looks good :) xxx
ReplyDeleteI have this sitting on my dressing table, I haven't even touched it! I nearly gave it it a friend, oops! Glad I didn't. May have to give it a go, although looking at the instructions it did seem like a bit of effort. I guess thats what put me off! xo
ReplyDeleteI suffer from really dry scalp. Do you recommend anything i could use as you have the same problem? I use herbal essences at the end of my hair as its much cheaper as im a scrudge when it comes to expensive hair products!
