the balm frat boy with the peach on the cheekbones and the champagne under the brow
Collection 2000 shimmer shades in way to glow: boots (£4.19)*
The Collection 2000 shimmer shades in way to glow is a multi purpose highlighter and bronzer in one compact with the aim to give a "subtle glow" to the face. There are four individual colours a champagne, a rosy pink, a golden bronze and a pinky brown shade. The shades are all shimmery and soft and easy to blend onto the skin. I wouldn't say they are very pigmented but they do provide a subtle glow of colour rather than a massive amount of pigmentation. However I think this is the intention of the product, as they give a glowy finish. They are shimmery with a bit of glitter but its very finely milled and not chunky at all.
The packaging is a bit cheap and cheerful, I dont think its that bad as it could have been alot worse. I much prefer sleeker packaging but it feels quite sturdy and doesnt feel like its going to break. The shades are pressed firmly into the pan but soft to the touch. I've been using the Collection 2000 shimmer shades individual colours for both eyes and cheeks. Swirling all the colours together with a big brush for a all over sweep of colour works really nicely in giving a warm glow. I think my preferred method using it as a cheek highlight using a rounded contour brush. I either use the shimmering rosy pink or the champagne colour on the tops of my cheekbones and under my brows to highlight and lift areas after contouring or on top of matte blushes. In the example photo Im wearing it on the tops of my cheekbones to enhance the matte blusher's colour.
They retail for £4.19 which I think is a really good price for a highlighting and bronzing product, I'd recommend this, especially for the summer months ahead! There is also another palette in the Shimmer Shade range called "Blushalicious" which actually looks really nice, which I may get as well! I can't wait to wear more glowy products!

I was thinking literally this morning tat I need to find something to give me a glow now that the sun has come out in England! For £4.19 I can't go wrong trying this. Thanks xx

I'm loving this inexpensive cosmetic buzz everybody is on at the moment- loving this product!
ReplyDeleteI have these and the blusher compact as well, and although they are good I'd be so careful, both sets of mine have cracked in the powder and its gone everywhere! But other than that I love this product, its perfect for light coverage!
ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous, I've never really invested in a highlighter but I'll check this one out!
