ELF Studio Blush in Gotta Glow: £3.50 (E.L.F)

Ive seen this a few times on the ELF website but havent got round to purhcasing it so on one of their free shipping things I decided to buy it. Kates been raving about the Nars Albatross highlighter for a while and I've read before this was a dupe yolks ago so I went ahead and got it. I really like the fresh shimmery highlighted look at the moment- perfect for the super summery weather we are having at the moment!

ELF Blush is Gotta Glow is a ivory, gold toned yellowish powder that gives a subtle highlight and glow to the cheeks. It doesn't look ashy on my skin which I really like as I think white looks really stark on my warm toned tanned skin! It feels slightly chalky to the touch, but the shimmer translates well onto the cheeks without looking powdery. Its quite sparkly, but I'd presume if you're looking for a highlighter then a shimmer is to be expected. Its good for applying on top of matte blushes to give a soft shimmery look or just to give a summer glow to your makeup.

Overall I think it is a OK product, It does the job well and for the price you really can't complain all that much. However I do prefer the Collection 2000 way to glow shimmer shades as a highlighter than this. It's just a nicer tone on my skin. But, It's an okay dupe for Nars Albatross but obviously not the same quality.

  1. I have this and sometimes I feel as if there's just a bit too much shimmer, however lightly I apply it. It always looks like I'm obviously wearing highlighter. I do like it but it's not my favourite x

  6. I like the ELF studio blushes, but I find that all of them have a little bit too much shimmer in them. I 've got Candid Coral which is such a gorgeous darker coral shade but its so overpowered by gold shimmer! but at £3.50 its worth the effort of working with it :)

  8. I really wanted to try the blush and bronzer duo. I know a lot of people compare it to the Nars Orgasm blush and the Laguna bronzer but I don't think it's at all similar. Nevertheless, I might try this product; it looks lovely. :) Love your blog by the way-great read!
