Illamasqua Androgen Cream pigment: Illamasqua (£17)

I've been sitting on this little gem for a while and recently rediscovered it when sorting through my makeup collection. I dont actually own many things from Illamasqua, it's an exciting and creative brand but I've only tried their foundations and eyeliners never their colour cosmetics. I always linger at their lipsticks but still havent commited.

Illamasqua Androgen Cream pigment for some reason caught my eye one day as I walked around Selfridges. Androgen is super pigemnted bright pink coral with can look flouresent worn opaque or a sheer wearable peach when sheered out. The texture is quite hard in the pan, it has little or no slip with a sort of clay like quality to it. It's not uncomfortable to apply once warmed up with fingers though, using a brush was a little tricky as I think it needs the warmth of the body to make it softer. I've used this on both my eyes and my cheeks, but personally appying it as a lip product is my favourite. Im always on the search for the neon coral pink for my lips but still havent found one thats not too drying! Its very matte on my lips and I think some would say on the dryer side, but I find it applies better than Nars Bolereo or Topshop Coy Lipstick. Its taken over as my favourite coral lip product for the time being!

This is a really beautiful product and will be great for spring going forward into summer. Its so multitasking and flattering, while also being long wearing and water resistant. The practicality as well as the colour of the product rates it really high in my books. The only downside for some would be that the Androgen cream pigment is completetly matte, so if you're not a matte fan stay away. But for matte coral lovers like me then this is perfect addition to a collection!
