L'Oreal Rouge Caresse in Dating Coral: Boots/Superdrug (£7.99)
Dating Coral is a warm coral with soft orange undertones. In the bullet it looks very reddish coral, but on application it is more orange. I think it looks very pretty on the lips, with one swipe I found it to be too sheer for my pigmented lips. I found I did have to apply it a fair few times to get the colour in the photographs. However it doesn't feel sticky or tacky and the product doesn't build up uncomfortably on the lips.
Personally I prefer these to the Revlon Lip Butters, I don't know why I like these more though. Maybe I just prefer the shades I have in the Rouge Caresses's to the Lip Butters. I do think the products are very similar but I just find the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse's to be more pigmented, more moisturising and have better overall pay off. Im surprised I like these sheerer glossier products at the moment as I've always been a full coverage matte or satin finish kinda girl!

Ahh it does look nice but I don't buy Loreal! x
ReplyDeleteooh such a lovely colour, you really suit it! I really want to try these xx
ReplyDeleteI think the texture of these is a bit nicer than the Lip Butters, more solid whereas the others are more, well, buttery! I have this in Aphrodite Scarlet and I love it! x
ReplyDeleteI prefer these to the lip butters too :)

Great post, I didn't even know loreol had a lipstick to rival Revlon's Lip butters, I might have to give this lipstick a try.

I much prefer the caresse's to the Revlon lip butters, I didn't find their shade range appealing at all! Being eyeing up this particular shade for a while, I love coral lipsticks :) x

I've been searching everywhere trying to get my mits on this colour! I've got almost all the others. I never normally wear lipstick but these have converted me!
ReplyDeleteThis looks lovely on you...think I'm still liking the lip butters more though but need to try more shades of the l'oreal ones really as I only have 'cheeky magenta' and I don't feel like it suited me! xxx
ReplyDeleteI prefer these to the Lip Butters too, I was wearing Lovely Rose today! x
ReplyDeletethemusingsofflorence.blogspot.co.uk/
what foundation are you wearing? looks great x
ReplyDeleteStill unsure about mine, great to pop on for work but I need to reapply it a lot... x
ReplyDeleteI prefer the loreal caresse too, I have rebel red (I think that's the name!) and it's lovely, nice smell too!
ReplyDeleteThe shade is lovely on you! I might just have to try these out, the packagaing is definitely alot more glam than the Revlon Lip Butters. I have found them really nice though as my lips tend to dry out so I think they are the kind of lip colours I will go for from now on!

This colour looks very pretty on you, might have to take a closer look at this range :) xx

Ah, I wanted to buy that too - I went to the drug store a couple of times but left without buying it. Cause I'm not sure if I wanna spent that much money on a lipstick, since I'm not someone who wears lipstick often. :S

I prefer the Caresse lip colours too but can't decide why. I'm a fan of brighter lipsticks though which is why I sway towards the L'oreal ones. But this colour is really nice and looks really warm on you. I might have to take a look :)
