Maybelline - Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow: boots/superdrug (£4.99) *
Eternal Gold, Permanent Taupe, Eternal Silver, On and on Bronze

I wasn't actually that excited about these coming out in the UK, I was intrigued about the product and I'd obviously read alot about them on blogs in the US. But I find it hard to get excited about a eye product when Im more of a lip person. However like most products, I was of course swept up in blog hype and bought the one I knew I would probably like, Eternal Gold. Then I was invited to a Maybelline event I was gifted some of the Colour Tattoo collection. This review is probably going to be the same as all the other ones out there in the blogasphere, but I just can't get enough of this product!

The Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr shadows are incredibly pigmented gel/cream shadows. I cant vouch for the 24 hour wear time, I'd personally never wear a makeup product for that long. But I was suprised at how well they do wear. After I've worn the product all day it's still the same colour as I applied in the morning. Considering these are drugstore products this is really impressive. My lids are slightly oily and even without a powder on top of the cream shadow there is no creasing or migrating of product. The consistancy of the Colour Tattoo's are smooth and creamy with a similar texture to MAC Paint Pots. They dry down quickly, but not too quickly so you have time to blend out the colour. My personal favourite is Eternal Gold, but I knew I'd like that one before I tried the rest. On and On Bronze is so pretty too, Its very flattering on my eyes when smudged along the lower lash line. I picked Eternal Silver because it's going to make a nice silvery base for a smokey eye. Permanent Taupe isn't my sort of colour at all, I don't really like matte shadows on my lids but I'd seen on a few blogs that people have been using this as a brow gel to tame them as well as give them a bit of colour!

I'd highly recommend these shadows if you're looking for a long wearing cream shadow. They easy to apply and have a great shade range. The price is amazing considering the quality of the product, I've bought more expensive cream eyeshadows for over three times the price that don't even compare to the longevity of the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr shadows! I really hope they bring out some more shades, Id love a pinky rose gold or a white shimmery colour!

  6. I've heard so much about these! The product sounds amazing, but I don't think I'd wear any of the colours; like you said, a rose gold would be lovely!
