Day Trippin'
Today I went to London Zoo. Yup. You know me biggest loner in the world 2k12 went to the Zoo on her own. I was actually supposed to be going with someone but that fell through so I thought I'd just ride solo! I saw loads of amazing animals and actually had a really good time. It was my first time going to London Zoo and I've always wanted to go have a look around! I strategically missed out the animals I don't like (reptiles, birds and bugs!) but managed to get around the whole thing and see most of the animals I wanted to! I had to fight the urge to keep going OMGGG SQUEE SO CUTE to myself at the ones I liked the best. My favourites were the Penguins and the Sloth. I think Sloths are just so fascinating but strange creatures. I've always liked Penguins and the exhibit for them was amazing, so many different varieties! I saw them being fed too which was all kinds of adorableness but my phone had run out of battery at this point so I couldn't snap away anymore! I even bought myself a little fluffy emperor penguin, because you can't go to a tourist attraction and not get a ridiculous cuddly toy (:

I went lone adventuring over the Bank Hol weekend...no-one would come/friends bailed on plans - so I went to Birmingham and Merry Hill Sat, then a mahoosive North Wales road trip on Sunday, all alone, just me, my music and my camera - amazing times!

I think its so cool you go places alone, I really should just start doing that tbh! Looks like you had loads of fun!
ReplyDeleteaw god i love the zoo! such a guilty pleasure though, because i feel bad for some of the animals, being cooped up like that. my favourite animals are monkeys (especially marmosets, which i notice you got pics of <3 so cute!) and pandas. sloths are weirdly gorgeous too, totally agree.

ReplyDeleteDoing things alone is so fun! I went to York over the weekend by myself and it was so lovely. The only downside is that you can't take pictures of yourself infront of cool things!!

I love London Zoo, possibly my 2nd favourite after Toronto zoo. Penguin beach there is amazing. Plus, they have more variety than usual, with the rockhopper and macaroni penguins! (Jeez, such a penguin nerd.)
ReplyDeleteMy usual favourites I run to are the otters and lemurs. And If I lived close enough to a zoo to be able to, I'd totally go on my own all the time!

Aww, I love this post! London Zoo looks sooo nice! I wish zoos here in my country look THAT nice! The animals all look so healthy & clean!

ReplyDeleteI went to Dublin Zoo by myself on an absolutely freezing February morning. So I pretty much had the place to myself ha
ReplyDeleteI was travelling alone so didn't really think much of going to the zoo by myself, and since I've been home I've really wanted to do more things alone. I avoided the reptile area too x
