Long wearing lip colour
Maybelline Super Stay 10 Hour Tint Gloss is a long wearing lip tint with a glossy finish. The stain/gloss hybrid was a trend earlier this year on the lip product scene but are the perfect product for A/W. Following in the foot steps of the YSL Glossy Stains, Maybelline launched their own drugstore version in five colours. The shades in the collection all give a beautiful glossy pout which over time fade out to a soft matte tint. You can of course top up your lips to keep the saturated glossy finish or even blot them after applying if you just wanted a matte "just bitten" style lip tint. Although that would defeat the purpose of actually getting a glossy tint as opposed to your standard lip tint! But it's worth noting they can be used both ways!
The Super Stay Glosses are incredibly long wearing in terms of colour longevity, I wouldn't say the 10 hours they advertise but more around the 6 to 7 hour mark. I have pigmented lips so I find lip stains tend to be a bit of a fail on me as the colour never really shows properly. None the less I was surprised that all of the shades actually had a fairly decent colour pay off and were very similar to their intended colours. All the long wear lip stains have a slight fruity scent which is actually inoffensive for me personally as someone who hates anything scented near their face! These retail for £6.99 which I think is a really good price point. Although there is only five shades in the UK launch of the Maybelline Super Stay Glosses they do have 10 in their USA collection so they may bring over the other shades to expand the collection.
