lush mint julips

lush mint juleps review swatch photo
lip scrub

I've never used a lip scrub before so I cant really compare the Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub to anything else. I picked it up on a whim when I was in Lush in Covent Garden one day and I haven't looked back since. Formulated with castor sugar and super moisturising jojoba oil it sits on the lips without feeling greasy.  It leaves my lips in top condition perfect for prepping for matte lipsticks or dry lips. It works well at removing all the dry, flakiness from my weather changing chapped lips and leaves them looking smooth and tasting fresh. It doesn't feel harsh or abrasive in the slightest which was my main worry as my lips are in a lot of pain sometimes from the dryness. Although it is expensive for basically a pop of flavoured sugar  and oil in a pot but I can see it lasting ages and I really do love the taste! Mint Julips smells like After Eights which I adore, I think minty stuff is my favourite of all flavours. This used with my Dr Lipp Nipple Balm are going to be my winter lip saviours!

  14. These scrubs from LUSH really are the best and taste fantastic; I think I tried one once that tasted like cake, or chocolate, or something sweet and I was in love!!

  15. I had a Snow Fairy one in a Christmas gift set last year. I wouldn't have used one otherwise, unless like you, picking it up on a whim. It does seem like one of those novelty products, but in actual fact, does a good job at removing the flaky bits from your lips. I'd definitely recommend.

  21. I almost picked up the popcorn flavour today, but I couldn't justify over £5 for essentially a mini pot of sugar! All these scrubs smell so delicious though, hopefully I'll receive one on christmas day! (:

  23. I have the Bubblegum one and I use it all the time. They are perfect for getting rid of the dry skin off your lips, but I do agree they are expensive for what is basically flavored sugar which you could probably make yourself. That being said, I still want the popcorn one! x

  25. I am on my third jar of this; the mint julip is the best "flavor" imo. I Haven't been tempted to try other scrubs since I found this one very nice to see it featured:)
