benefit she's so jet set: £29.50*
benefit holiday 2012I went to a Benefit event a few weeks ago and I won the "She's so Jet Set" kit when they held a little Christmas quiz. Perfect for travel or the holiday season She's so Jet Set an affordable and useable little kit. I love the theme of the product and the name, I often pass Benefit off as gimmicky but this set contains everything you could need for a variety of looks. The set includes a mini Porefessional, 4 Eyshadows, a cheek colour, a mini lipgloss in "Life on the A List", a mini They're Real mascara and a mini blush and eyeshadow applicator.
The eyeshadows are a wearable and pigmented neutral foursome that can be used in a variety of ways. They are all safe, wearable colours which apply smoothly and compliment most eye colours. I really like the glow the face powder gives the face, It's very subtle but looks very fresh and brightening. One half of the blush is perfect for highlighting and the second part is a mid toned coral which looks lovely on the apples of the cheeks. The lipgloss is in the shade "Life on the A List" which is a sheer peacy nude colour, It reminds me a bit of Nars Turkish Delight. I'm a recent convert to They're Real mascara, it has to be one of my favourites of all time mascaras I've tried. Nothing has given my lashes length and volume like this baby! A full review is coming as soon as I get it up! I've also been a huge fan of Benefit's the Porefessional for a long, long time and I really do love it. It is perfect for prepping the skin for makeup and evening out the skin.
She's so Jet set would make the perfect last minuite gift idea as you can purchase it at anywhere Benefit is sold. You get a variety of products and they are all good quality. You get to try out some of Benefit's best sellers too, which are handy to test out before you commit to full sizes. While I do like the packaging it's not the most easily transportable kit despite what it is name might suggest as it is on the bulky side. I always think the Benefit cardboard packaging is annoying as it gets ruined so quickly.

Totally agree with you about the packaging- in daily life, in a bag, cardboard packages dont hold up!
ReplyDeleteThey really need to change that, esp as theyre quite expensive so you'd think could go a bit upmarket with presentation. Otherwise I like the colours etc of the boxes.
Ooh I like this, I may have to purchase when I go into Boots next! x
ReplyDeleteThis would be perfect if only it had a contour shade!

aw this seems like a great everyday set actually. this year benefit seem to have created much better gift sets, better range of products in them.
ReplyDeletepeople always say it's too expensive for what it is, but i have to disagree. it's pricey, but some of the products are really worth it for the quality. agree with you on the packaging though, it's cute but doesnt stay cute for long!
i am going on holiday soon so might pick it up at the airport...exciting
ReplyDeletecan't wait for your review on they're real mascara, i tried it once when i was at boots and it hadn't curled my lashes or had any mascara on them, and the mascara actually curled them...for my lashes that pretty hard to do without curlers...

It looks great. I've had my eyes on this kit for ages but I have to let it pass. Too many neutral shadows and I already own the Porefessional and They're Real mascara.
ReplyDeletePs You look so gorgeous in your pic Lily as always :)
I love the Benefit packaging for the quirkiness but I just don't wanna be carrying a bulky box like this around! Lovely products though!

Great review, I had been umming and aahhing about this one for a while. Love the primer and the eyeshadows looked nice, but I didn't like the Bad Gal lash, so thought this mascara would be the same, may have to give it a little try now...
