Look Beauty Blush in Flirt: This was the blush I wore for the first half of the year without fail. It's a beautiful bright coral blush with a tiny bit of shimmer going through. While the quality isn't spot on, its pretty fair for the price and the colour makes up for it. It's really pigmented, but a light hand gives a wonderful flattering pop of colour to my cheeks. I've been impressed with the Look Beauty range, it's got a wide range of affordable and wearable cosmetics for a decent price. I've shunned this a lot recently in favour of the next blush but I had to include it as I've worn it so much in the past year. I even had to repurchase it earlier in the year as I used it so often!
MAC Style: I've worn this blush pretty much daily for the last month or so. Although I have two palettes full of MAC blushes I rarely wear them. I just simply went off them for a while in favour of other brands. However I'm glad my flatmate enabled me to buy this, and since then I haven't looked back. I cant rave about it enough, It's just the perfect warming and brightening peach tone for my olive skin and the shot of gold glitter through it gives it a nice glowy edge. It gives me a fresh looking cheeks without being too bright, clown-like or over the top. I'm just totally and utterly in love with this shade! Although it's the same sort of tone as the Look Beauty Blush it's definitely not as pigmented or as dark coral on the skin, much softer, natural and paler with more peach tones. I think this is perfect for loads of skin tones and I think it's definitely something I can see myself wearing for a long, long time!
Laura Mercier Silk Creme: My foundation of choice is the Laura Mercier Silk Creme. A foundation I used to think I hated, as I found it stiff, cakey and unblendable. However Kate enabled me to repurchase and WOWZA, what a change in opinion. I only bought it about two months ago but it's quickly climbed the ranks to be my favourite product of the year! Its super pigmented and you don't need a lot to give soft, medium, luminous coverage. It doesn't break me out, look cakey or slide off my face. I just love it! Holy grail isn't a word I throw around a lot but this has to be close to it. I just love the way it makes my face look, so natural, fresh and clear. I wear the shade Cashew Beige when Im tanned and Sand Beige when Im paler. I don't think I would have given this a second thought if it wasn't for Kate!
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer: This was featured in last year's favourite post too! Super cheap, does exactly what it says on the packaging. I can see why it's got so much hype around it as it's got great coverage, it is long lasting, easy to apply and easy to blend all for under a fiver. I've tried countless high end concealers but always come back to this bad boy! I use this under my eyes on a daily basis and have probably gone through at least 3-4 tubes this year! Definitely a drugstore must have.
Clarins Instant Smooth Primer: Instant Smooth creates a really lovely flawless base by smoothing over the pores, blurring imperfections all to give a nice flawless look. Perfect for combination skin this primer doesn't enhance my drier areas and keeps the more oily areas matte. It leaves my skin looking gloriously smooth and keeps my makeup in place all day. I love this primer and it's only recently edged over my old favourite which was Benefit The Porefessional.

I've seen so many good reviews of the Look blush! The colour looks lovely :) x

ReplyDeleteReally intrigued by the clarins primer, I've heard such good things. I've never really cared enough to use primers, but perhaps I should.
