best of 2012: hair

best of 2012 hair review swatch photo
Full Reviews: Phillip Kingsley Elasticiser, Morrocan Oil, Bumble &Bumble Texturising Creme, Ojon Dry Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner, Vo5 Moisture Soak Elixir

Phillip Kingsley Elasticiser:  My go-to hair mask this year was always the Phillip Kingsley Elasticiser. Nothing left my hair feeling softer or smoother after just one treatment. I was introduced to it through a beauty box (so they are good for something!) and I've been a loyal repurchaser since. The Elasticizer is a "pre-shampoo" treatment, You apply the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer to dry hair in sections and then leave for 10-20 minutes before washing and blow drying as normal.

Morrocan Oil: All imitations don't live up to the Original and the best. Morrocan Oil transformed my dry, brittle ombre into something that was easy to manage, easy to style and most importantly really reduced my split ends. Hair oil's were a huge addition to my usual hair routine in 2012, and I cant see me getting rid of this step anytime soon!

Bumble & Bumble Texturising Creme: My hair is fine but I have a lot of is, this product works wonders at prepping my hair before styling leaving my hair texturised and volumised. It's really helped my hair in terms of being able to style it how I like it in on the days that I wash my hair! I especially like using this when I wear my hair straight because it adds to the natural beachy, bedhead look without the use of hairspray and volumising sprays which I try not to use unless I wear my hair curly.

Ojon Dry Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner: Best shampoo and conditioner combination I've ever used. Hands down, the best shampoo and conditioner for my normal hair with dry ends. It's another product that I've been a loyal repurchaser of since it came into my life about 6 months ago. I especially love the conditioner as I can feel it working as soon as I pop it onto my hair. It almost feels warming on application, my ends feel softer, smoother and completely nourished. I love how soft, smooth and manageable my hair is left. The hefty price tag puts me off but I constantly go back to it whenever my hair is in dire need of a boost!

Vo5 Moisture Soak Elixir: The only drugstore item I'm featuring in my hair Top 5 is the Moisture Soak Elixir in shower treatment. I use this 1-2 times a week because it works wonders on smoothing down my ends and adding moisture in my hair. I've used th vo5 Hot shots before but I always found them too be way too messy for regualr use, this however cuts out all the heating and messing around. Also, considering it's a mere £4.49 it's an absolute bargain!

  11. Thanks for the B&B Texture tip! I have fine hair, but lots of it too. My problem is that it's very short, so texture is NEEDED. I can't wait to give this a try.

  14. I absolutely love the B&B Texturing Creme! That's exactly why I love this product as well. Before I used it, I hated my hair the day of hair wash, but now I don't mind it at all!
