I mentioned in my recent November favourites video that I'd been loving the La Roche Posay Effalacur Duo. Effaclar Duo is basically a spot treatment that aims to reduce the apperance of inperfections and purify the pores. It's a complete skincare solution that leaves the skin looking clear, smoother and really aids a lot of the skincare woes I personally have. I've never really used a product like this before, It's made such an overwhelming difference to my skin over the past few weeks, to the point where it's currently the only skincare item I'm using at the moment. I suffer from hormonal and dairy breakouts which tend to get sore and cystic and really bring me down. However this has cleared them up a treat and since adding it to my routine my new breakouts have been kept to an absolute minimum. I'm so impressed with this product I really cant put into words how much I love it. I've noted that the overall appearance of my skin looks completely different, my pores look smaller and my black heads much less noticeable. It hasn't dried my skin out either like some spot treatments, my skin feels more balanced if anything!
I know theres a lot of blogger hype for this at the moment but it's such a wonderful product and has worked wonders for me personally. Im normally uncomfortable about recommending skincare but this is possibly my all time skincare hero!

i've heard alot about this product recently so i think i may have to try this for myself! (:

This is really reasonably priced for how good it sounds! I must try this, I still get random break outs even though my acne has cleared up really well. You've got me wondering about the dairy thing as well, I've never worked out what causes my breakouts...
ReplyDeleteI suffer with the exact same issues but haven't found anything that has really helped so far - I will definitely be giving this a try over Christmas! Thanks x

bought this after a heavy weekend and having seen your instagram. absolutely loving it too. glides on to the skin so easily and has completely cleared up my breakouts and kept any new ones at bay. thanks for the heads up lily!
ReplyDeleteI really want to try this :) Would you say you need to use a seperate moisturiser with this and just use this where you get spots, or do you use it all over the face as a moisturiser? x

Have you used any of the other products by La Roche-posay? There currently on offer 2 for £15 at boots at the moment but this product is sold out! I constantly have terrible breakouts on my chin and haven't seen a single day this year without any spots. Desperately in need of this x
ReplyDeleteOh wow, this sounds like something that would be perfect for my skin!! Thank you for the review :)

I bought this a few days ago since it was 2 for £15 in boots. I've noticed a few whiteheads on my chin area but they're tiny so I can live with that, what I love about it the most is that it really does make pores and blackheads seem smaller :) pretty good for combination skin too!
ReplyDeleteI suffer with quite a lot of red areas on the skin and this sounds like the perfect product to help get rid of the pesky things!

La Roche-Posay is such an amazing brand! I love it
ReplyDeleteLa Roche-Posay is such a great brand. I am writing a series of posts on the best skincare products for £10 or under, and I have found some great products from La Roche. The cleanser from this range is something I have reviewed in the past and I completely loved it. Just as good as many washes for double the price.

I find it so strange how these things catch on so quickly. Even stranger that I always seem to want whatever people are blogging about! I am soo getting this next time I'm in Boots. A lot of people have been saying its out of stock but I live in a town where the "blogoshpere" is virtually unknown so I can always find these things! :)
