thing's i've liked this month….
Eyeko Black Magic Mascara: I don't know how many people remember Eyeko but they used to be a cutesy japanese inspired brand sold in Superdrug. Pocket friendly prices, cheap and of decent quality. They rebranded a few years back and are now are sold in Space NK, Harvey Nicks and QVC. I LOVE this mascara as its super lengthening and volumising and perfect for building a wide eyed doll look. However this retails for £15 which I feel is so expensive considering I still think of the brand as the cheapy Superdrug one. I will probably buy this again as I do real enjoy the product I just cant get over the inflated price tag.
Charles Worthington Intense Rescue Melting Balm: A recent addition to my usual hair routine this super nourishing oil based mask leaves the hair smoother, shiner and intensely moisturised. It's a bit like a facial balm for the hair as you melt it between warmed palms, leave on the hair for 20-30 minutes and then wash and dry hair as usual. I've noticed a huge difference in my hair since starting to use the mask. It's slightly over priced at almost £17, I bought it while on offer for £11 which I think is a fair price.
Pixi Lash Line Ink: My all time favourite eyeliner! I find it incredibly easy to use and perfect to create my signature flick. The liner part is so thin and precise its perfect for making precise flicks without building up too much thickness. Its smudge proof, relatively waterproof, black and dries really quickly. I don't normally like pen liners as they dry out very quickly and lose their pointedness but I've been using this practically everyday for about a month now and I've had 0 problems with it so far!
Dr Lipp's Nipple Balm: A 100% Lanolin Lip balm that has been my absolute live saver the last few weeks. My lips get so dry in the winter, to the point where they crack and bleed almost every single day. The balm is super thick and is quite hard to actually squeeze out the tube, however it provides a good thick layer of balm on the lips that protects them from the elements.
Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub: I've never used a lip scrub until recently but it's a really soft exfoliating balm for the lips. It tastes exactly like After Eights which I absolutely love. Although it might be a touch over priced for what it is but I do think it's absolutely excellent at removing dead skin gently and easily.
MAC Style: A super pretty true peach slightly shimmery blush. Very brightening and illuminating on the face and is so flattering on my skin. I've been using this religiously for most of November as it adds a subtle fresh faced glow without being too obvious. I've been applying this with a Real Techniques Contour brush onto the apples of my cheeks.
Elnett Heat Protect Styling Sprays: These are pump action heat protector come hair sprays. I've been using this pretty much every time I've styled my hair since I bought them. The volumising one is perfect for getting volume in the hair without it getting dry or crispy. You spray it into damp hair and then blow dry as normal, It leaves my hair feeling volumised and blown out without too much product. It claims to lock volume in for three days, which I don't really agree with it lasting all that long. But I do think that it's excellent at adding volume into your hair after washing. I've been using the curl one as a heat protector
La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo: I had massive breakouts towards the beginning of the month due to hormones and this has been the only skin item I've been using since. It's a silky gel that reduces sebum and unclogs poets. Honestly, it's worked wonders on my skin and aided the healing of my breakouts, reducing pore size, smoothing out my skin and removing some of the congested areas. I use this twice a day and have noticed a such HUGE difference to my skin. I've only used this on my skin this month, and although it's hardly a luxe skincare type of product it does work so well for me!
