Kensington Caviar Topcoat is a quick drying glossy nail polish which is perfect for any at home manicure. It dries within 45 seconds and leaves a high gloss finish which lasts with minimal chipping or flaking off. The finish is really neat and I find it blurs out and smudges or knicks you may have got while waiting for your nails to dry. I experienced minimal chipping after 5 days of using this on top of a regular polish. Despite it's hefty price tag it really does do an amazing job of stopping your nails from chipping and leaves your polish looking super glossy. I think the secret to good nails is always a good quality glossy topcoat and this one comes highly recommended from me!

I received one of these in my glossy box but was not too impressed, I did a post on it here; http://www.magpiebox.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/november-glossyox.html ... next to my Rimmel topcoat it just didn't seem to hold up chipping -wise, I've seen nothing but good reviews though so will keep trying. x
ReplyDeleteSally Hanson Double Duty is also a good shout, about half the price yet I found for me works better than Nails Inc! Plus it doubles as a basecoat so even more savings wahooo
ReplyDeleteI must say this wasn't very successful for me, using it as a top coat only made my polish last less than it's usual time. After three days the colour just peeled off. xx

I don't like this v much, I find it quite dull, not very glossy at all and I've got topcoats that are way cheaper but last way better x
ReplyDeleteDries in 45 seconds wow! I always just use a cheapy topcoat, i didn't realise more expensive ones / better brands actually work better! Hate it when my nails chip after 2 or 3 days :( x

I bought this one recently after I went for a nails inc manicure with the future mother in law and i bought it soon after. the quality is fantastic and it stayed for at least 5 days. So worth the price.
ReplyDeleteI got a sample with a recent glossy box and I've been using it loads. I've found my nails don't chip as much which is great

I work with tiny, fiddly tools every day, so my nails get chipped so easily. I hope this is the product that can save me fro tatty talons!

I use to have this topcoat but thought it sucked, nails chipped really quick. Liking revlons topcoat at the mo, but think I might try the Sally Hansen one recommended above. Any other good suggestions? Xx
ReplyDeleteUsed this for aaaages, always seem to get them in the gift sets. Rather than pay £12 I tried out the Models Own one and a few others to such disappointing results in comparison. Now totally loyal to Nails Inc! xx
