I don't ever fake tan my face as it's just does nothing for my skin, I'm always left looking spotty and patchy. However I recently got hold of the Clarins Instant Smooth Self Tan so I thought I'd give it a go. My sensitive, combination spot prone skin loves the formula of the Original Instant Smooth Primer so I had high hopes for this one. It's a silky lightweight formula and has a really nice luminizing feel to it. Overtime it does leave the skin looking natural and tanned without being to heavy or breaking me out. It smooths out my fine lines, pores and any other nasties leaving a flawless base for foundation. The formula is pretty much the same as the actual primer with just added tanning benefits.
It's the perfect makeup base with a sun kissed glow with minimal effort. Perfect for the transition back into spring summer as you skin gets naturally darker. I think it also smells a bit like Cherry Bakewells which I absolutely love!

Ooh I've been meaning to get this!

I really like the look of this. I usually steer clear from self tanning the face for the same reasons but theres something about this that looks and sounds like it could do the biz! Great review Lily!

I love the idea of a separate facial tan, I get spotty and patchy if I use my body one on my face too. This isn't that unreasonable at £17 either.
ReplyDeleteGreat review!

£17 is a very good price for this, I was expecting something in the £26-30 range. Looks like a nice addition to a summer make-up routine!

Sounds really good! Nothing like a good pre glow for spring/summer Xx
ReplyDeleteI bloody love this stuff! It used to make my first itch when I first got it though! And I'm not sure I can really call it fake tan as it DOES come off with the removal of make up too - But then again, its an awesome tinted primer and costs less than other primers that are awesome soooo.. Its a win win, right? :D
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the body version in a similar tub?! Best fake tan EVER. Hands down!
