It's rare I'll completely praise a product so soon after buying it. Especially when its a foundation or a base. Im a fickle soul, and I have recently found my holy grail of foundation in the form of Laura Mercier Silk Creme. But thanks to some recent developments in my skincare routine I've realised I don't really need all the coverage so invested in something completely new to me. A Tinted Moisturiser.
I don't like tinted moistures generally, I prefer matte or satin finishes compared to the radiant dewy ones that seem to come with the tinted moisturiser label. However I'd heard things about the Jouer Matte Moisture Tint so decided to pick it up from Cult Beauty. I find its very natural on the skin and even out my skintone perfectly. I still need concealer to cover my blemishes and under my eyes but overall my skin looks even and redness covered. It leaves a flawless semi matte, satin like finish without looking cakey or overdone. I like that its buildable and can be layered up to cover areas that might need a little more coverage, in my case my cheeks!
I do wear a power with this as my skin does tend to get a little oily throughout the day, but I find it last's well on the skin. It's the perfect daytime base as its light and easy to apply. I'm the shade Nude, which is light medium with strong yellow/warm tones. I apply with my favourite Real Techniques Buffing brush and then pat into the skin with my fingers.

This sounds great, I've read so many positive reviews may have to head over to Cult Beauty and actually buy it. Your skin looks flawless :)

All I've been hearing are great reviews on this product! I guess that means that I'll to go out and try it.. (;
ReplyDeleteGood to know it works well with powder set on top, though. A lot of foundations/tinted moisturizers I've used in the past are a bit weird when combining the two..

i have pretty problematic skin and so always feel like i need heavy coverage (which is why a tinted moisturiser has never really appealed to me) but during the day when i'm at school, i go bare faced which is very daring and a little daunting sometimes! therefore, after this review, i think i may have to buy myself this product as it sounds amazing and just the right amount of coverage for easy every day wear! Why have I never ordered from Cult Beauty?! I hate tinted moisturisers generally too. They make me look like I have severely oily skin :( Boo. Looks lovely on you though

I am in the process of trying to get my skin in a good enough condition that I can begin using a lighter coverage-tinted moisturiser base, and was wondering; what is your 'new skin-care routine'? Have you got any tips? xxx
