OSIS Dust It

OSIS Dust It review swatch photo
OSIS Dust It: £10*

oomph powder!

I'm shocked it's taken me this long to review one of these OSIS Dust It powders as I've been using them religiously for a good while now. It's basically a texuturising powder that you apply to the roots or mid lengths of the hair to give your hair body and volume without the need for backcombing. I use this in two ways, either by sectioning off parts of my hair around the crown and rubbing the products into my roots for a boost. Or occasionally I'll add it into the mid lengths of my hair when it's curly or wavy to give it some separation and volume. You don't have to use a lot of this powder to get a decent ammount of oomph and I think it adds so much to the volume of my long hair. The only downside to the product is that it does leave build up over time. I tend to go in with a good clarifying shampoo once a week to make sure all the product is removed. It does also feel a bit horrible in the hair, a little like that Oasis foam stuff that you use for flower arranging! Although there are tons of these on the market I do really like this OSIS one especially!

  1. This sounds really good - I like using the Sexy Hair Powder Play, but when it runs out I'll try this! x

  2. I know exactly what you mean about that foam stuff for flower arranging, it really does feel like that!

I have the Lee Stafford version, but I rarely use it because of the buildup. I might crack it out and give it another go!

  6. This stuff is fab but I hate the feel of it in my hair. I tried a tresemme dupe that was terrible in comparison.

  10. This product sounds fab, does it leave a white powdery sort of residue like some dry shampoos do?

  14. I don't know, I've been using it on and off for a while now. Off, because it always somehow ends up disappointing me and I'll put it in my "don't use on a daily basis"-shelf, but after a while I'll rediscover just to hate it - it's a love/hate relationship with this one. I don't think it's good in creating volume, not with my hair anyways. After 30min to 1 hour it's back to flat again :/

  20. Not heard of this brand before, I usually use the V05 which is great but can make my hair feel a bit tacky.
