oil control setting spray
I have quite oily skin sometimes, Although it hasn't been the worst it's ever been recently it's still something that I always worry about. Generally I'll use a powder to keep my skin matte during the day but using powder can often leave my skin looking cakey or dry. Urban Decay De-Slick is an oil controlling mattifying makeup setting spray. I wouldn't say it makes my skin feel less oily overall and but it does control my oil slightly and I do find my skin generally doesn't get as oily as quickly. Worn on top of just foundation it leaves a beautiful satin, dewy finish. When I use it after powder it does make my skin look really nice, by taking away a lot of the powderyness. It leaves a nice flawless glowy base, It just reminds me of MAC Fix + in a fancier bottle! It's a good makeup setting spray and I think it's perfect for oiler skinned girls like me as it does control the oil levels somewhat. But I would say don't go in expecting miracles, but it's definitely helped my skin to some degree.

I need a new setting spray as mine is almost finished, I have oily tendencies too - so may give this a go!

I really want to try this! My skin isn't too oily but I do find my make up is sliding off my face by the afternoon lol!
ReplyDeleteI've been using a DIY setting spray of glycerol and water that I read about on pinterest but think I should invest in something proper!

I've wanted to try this for awhile now but just feel putting something else on top will just feel like layering products. Would be lovely if they did a sample size to try first.

I have the skidinavia spray, I wonder how much they differ! My skin gets a bit oily too, it's a pain when your makeup starts looking greasy at the end of the day.
ReplyDeletecrazy packaging! I still can't get my head round the concept of spraying moisture onto the face to help make up set, seems like it should smudge/run! May have to give it a go though...

This sounds good, I have oily skin but I hate using powder because it makes my foundation look awful on any spots I have, sometimes I use just ordinary water on my face, it doesn't help to control the oil but it helps my foundation look really natural and stay put longer:) x

It does sound good to control oil! Does it help make-up last?

I don't have particularly oily skin but this is still on my list as I want something to make my foundation last without having to look cakey wearing powder x
ReplyDeleteI really want to try an urban decay setting spray, I've heard so many good things about them!

I've only used the ELF setting spray and it smelled horrible so I ended up binning it. I'd like to try Fix+ and hadn't heard of this before, so definitely need to do some research. :)
ReplyDeleteThe formatting of your Maybelline mascara ad is screwy on tablets, by the way. It covers up posts and doesn't let you navigate around. Just a heads-up.
