bobbi brown pot rouge in fresh melon

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in Fresh Melon is a multipurpose cheek and lip cream. Fresh Melon is a gorgeous peach with a pink undertone and a slight nod of coral with no noticeable shimmer.  Pot Rouges are designed to be used on the lips and cheek areas making it a nice dual purpose product. In the above swatches I'm wearing it on both my lips and my cheeks. When worn on the lips it's not drying and reminds me a little of how MAC Hue looks on me. When applied to the face using a stippling brush (I purchased the Real Techniques Stippiling Brush purely for this!) it gave a wonderful brightening flush of colour to the face. It's quite sheer, subtle and looks natural and glowy. This is actually the first cream blush that I've used in a long time and I'm pleased to report back that I'm very impressed. It lasted pretty much all day on my cheeks, despite having oiler skin which really surprised me. The colour started to fade around the 8 hour mark but overall it stayed in place. In conclusion this is a fantastic little multi tasking product and I'm very pleased I decided to purchase it. Although it'll be interesting to see how it looks once I get more tanned, It's a lovely one for paler gals!

  1. Such a lovely shade, I'm not a huge fan of cream blushers but I may try working with them a bit more now I've seen this post! xxx

  20. This colour is stunning and really suits you. I have never bought anything from Bobbi Brown, the pricing definitely puts me off. But then again I have recently bought two ysl lipsticks within the space of a month xD This post has made me want to try this so bad.

  30. I've wanted a pot rouge for years because they look so luxurious..

If this reminds you of Hue by Mac then I think it might be the perfect colour for me too! Adding it to my wishlist for my 20th (which is 7 months away) haha!
