nails inc feather nails

As I'm always one to try the latest innovations in nail polish I was thrilled when Look Fantastic offered up one of the new Nails Inc Feather effect polishes to give a go. Edinburgh is a blue and peach "feather" effect nail polish, It's basically lots of small strands suspended in a clear base. It takes three coats to be completely opaque and they suggest using it over a polish. I didn't do this, just applied to to bare nails but dries quickly and evenly so you don't have to worry about overloading the nail and it taking ages to dry. The effect is quite subtle and not too in your face like a glitter polish. I actually quite like the effect, it's fairly unique and different from the other textured polishes hitting the market. I don't think it's overly wearable, but at the same time I think it's just supposed to be a fun statement polish.

  16. How stunning! I love textured style nails and these are so different. Nail trends have really taken off these last few seasons and I'm loving it. The packaging is also gorgeous. Definitely think this is something Ill be investing in :)

  20. I'm not really keen on these textured nails at the moment, I spend so much of my time painting my nails trying to get them looking nice and smooth that I think it would seem a bit odd.

  30. This looks unique but it reminds me of silly string for some reason and I'm not sure if I'd want it on my nails, definitely haven't seen a nail varnish texture like it before so I suppose it is innovative

  33. I'm not usually a nail polish girl (I play the guitar and always chip off my polish immediately when playing) and definitely not a huge fan of textured nail polishes, but I'm totally digging this! I hope there's a way for me to get a hold of their polishes without tons of shipping fees haha!
