wild about beauty safari nights palette

Wild About Beauty a makeup brand by Louise Redknapp and makeup artist Kim Jacob. To summarise the concept behind WAB,  it's all about a natural, fresh glowing look without the use of heavy, caked on makeup.  By going for a uncomplicated and simple to approach to their line of products. The shades are all wearable, natural and would appeal to a wide range of women.

The Safari Nights palette contains an array of gold and bronzed shades that are perfect for a summery glow. Safari Nights contains a lip gloss, an all purpose tint, a sheer blush, two cream eyeshadows, two powder eyeshadows and a ultra dewy stick all housed in a compact slick purple palette. The cream shadows are smooth and sheer, which can be built up to create more intense shades or used as bases. The powder shadows are buttery soft and blend well onto the lid and really pack a punch in the pigment stakes. The Lip gloss in Sasha is a pretty warming nude that enchances my natural lip colour with a hint of brown. I find the formula to be more balmy than sticky and lipgloss-y, which is lovely and not messy within the palette. The powder blush in Kitty gives the face a touch of warmth and is perfect peachy build able bronze shade for contouring. The Ultra Dewy Stick is a really lovely highlighter when used on the tops of the cheekbones and blended out.

In the above photo all the colour cosmetics are from the Safari Nights Palette. I used the Buster Cream Eyeshadow as a creamy base for the Aine Eyeshadow. I then smudged some of the Polly Eyeshadow into the outer corner to give a bit of depth. I added warmth to my face using the Kitty Blush shade as a bronzer as it's a soft peachy sheer shade. I then popped some of the Ultra Dewy Stick in Benny on the apples of the cheek to add a touch more colour to the face. I slicked on the gloss with a lip brush to enhance my lips and finish off the look.

All in all I really like this palette. While a little darker in tone than I'd normally purchase, as I tend to stick to lighter shades, but due to the formulation of the colours within this palette you can create a variety of looks from day to night. I like how versatile and multi use this palette is, a lot of the products are suitable for cheeks, lips and eyes and can be used together in various ways to create different looks. I also like how it mixes a variety of textures with the cream and powder products, I've never seen that executed as well as the Safari Nights Palette. Overall, a very wearable range of sunkissed shades all housed in a easy to transport palette that is suitable for all year round.

Also £4 from the sale of each of these palettes is donated to the Born Free Foundation, which aims to save the lives, stop the suffering and keeps wild animals in the wild.

  25. i think this is a really gorgeous palette and perfect for travelling as you have a range of products all in one space. i don't think i'd really use all of the colours but i know if i got my hands on this i'd probably give them all a go to see what looks i could create. i also love that the brand uses their profit for a good cause and as an animal lover, it makes buying this palette even more tempting! ;) X
