Essie Lapis of Luxury, Ciate Headliner*, Nubar Jaded*, GOSH Venus*, 2True Shade 15*
Today I pulled some of my favourite summer ready blue nail polishes and swatched a few up for your viewing pleasure. We'll start off with Essie Lapis of Luxury which is a beautiful cornflower blue. The application is very smooth and glides onto the nail with ease. The wider brush makes painting your nails completely effortless because its so wide you can vary the pressure of your stroke to cover your whole nail. This makes application a complete dream. Ciat Headerliner is a mixture between blue and green, a sort of dusky turquoise with a creme finish. Nubar Jaded is a suped up turquoise, I liked the shade but the brush and application of this polish was so-so at best. GOSH Venus is a bright turquoise blue, reminds me of the Nautical trend. It's a very retro kinda shade and a little like the iconic Tiffany blue. Finally 2True shade 15 is a pretty off white with a blue tint. Possibly my favourite from the bunch as I do like off white shades with a colour going through them! What's your favourite summer ready blue?

  8. I like them all - generally it's the kind of summer colour I would go for. If I had to pick one it would be the Nubar one - not sure why it's just the one I'm most drawn to!

  13. I love blue polishes but find myself never wearing them because I wear a lot of blue, navy and other dark colours, therefore always pick a red/pink for my nails. Need to start wearing more light colours haha!

  20. Wow I absolutely love that blue from 2true!!! I'm so glad someone finally included that brand in their post. Some bloggers are so snobbish and refuse to do that!! I also love the other blue colors too! I'll definitely be purchasing a few of these polishes! :)

  23. Recently I realised that my nail varnish collection leans heavily towards the pinks, corals and reds. So last week I bight a new Barry M Gelly varnish in Greenberry and I am officially addicted to it! It's more of a bright turquoisey mint than a blue, but it such a perfect summer shade, it literally goes with every single outfit I own!

  30. I love the off-white shade of Shade 15 by 2 True, but I find the formula so awful and really messy, it's such a shame because the colour is so nice. I really like the look of your Gosh Venus polish, may have to try and track that one down!

  33. i don't actually own very many blue nail polishes even though i think it's one of the best summer shades for nails! and these 5 are just as gorgeous! i do own beth's blue from models own but unfortunately the bottle has broken so i'm looking for a dupe and i think this essie colour may be perfect! i'm yet to try an essie polish (they sound wonderful) and this may be a great starting point! i love the ciate colour as well and am definitely looking for more colours to add to my collection! i also really like the 2true polish and i'm sure it would look great with a tan (the colour would definitely highlight the tan!) :) X
