Models Own Artstix Elements: £6
I know its a bit soon to be thinking way ahead over to Autumn Winter collections but the Models Own Artstix Elements Collections dropped onto my doormat and I couldn't resist swatching it up and posting about them. The collection contains four brand new shades of Artstix; Models Own Terra Crystal Artstix, Models Own Cloud Drops Artstix, Models Own Ember Red Artsix and Models Own Blue Spray. Models Own Artstix are "duos". These are typically one shade is a opaque polish and the other is a pretty glittery or shimmery polish to add over the top. These are great as you can either use the colours alone or layered for revitalise a few days old mani. The Artstix Elements collection is inspired by you guessed it the elements and each element has its corresponding shade duo.
Models Own Terra Crystal Artstix contains the shades Models Own Terra Firma which is a deep chocolate brown and Models own Pink Crystal which is a clear polish with black stands, silver micro glitters and pink hexes. This is probably my least favourite of all the Artstix's in this collection. I dont like the brown and the pink just doesnt do it for me. Even paired together, I just don't like the way the two colours looks together. I can see how this is the earthy duo, I just dont think it really works!
Next up is the Models Own Cloud Drops Artstix. The paint-it side is Models Own Cloud 9, a really pretty cream shade with lovely full cover finish. The glitter shade from this duo is Dew Drops, a clear base with gold and silver micro shimmer and larger gold hexagons particles.I adore this Artstix duo! I think it looks absolutely stunning alone or worn together. I think Cloud 9 might be a new go-to shade for me as it's simple but gorgeous.
Models Own Ember Red Artstix is the fire inspired duo and is another favourite of mine and contains Models Own Hot Red, a deep burgundy red shade and the glitter shade is called Models Own Ember Glow. Ember Glow is absolutely stunning, its a blend of yellow, orange and red hexagons and really pops against Hot Red. It's the perfect complimentary glittery for this duo and I think this one is going to be hugely popular for the glitter alone.
And finally Models Own Blue Spray Artstix. The polish side is called Models Own Blue Maldives and is a poppy blue shimmer. I don't personally like this shade, I don't think shimmers are all that flattering but I can see why they included a shade like this in an elements collection as it does scream "water elements at me. The glitter on the other hand reminds me loads of ice. A clear base with black strings and diamond holographic glitter going through it. I adore the glitter it's just a shame the polish isn't that lovely!
These launch at the Models Own Bottleshop on the 3rd August and in Boots nationwide from the 5th. These retail for a mere £6, a bargain in my opinion. I give the Artstix Elements Collection a big thumbs up. I'd especially recommend Cloud Drops. These are great for nail n00bs who want nail art with minimal effort and without breaking the bank. For Models Own Collectors like myself these are Artstix Exclusive shades so might be worth picking them up purely for that!
