TONI&GUY Casual Sea Salt, TONI&GUY Classic Shine & Gloss Serum, TONI&GUY Glamour Volume Plumping Whip, TONI&GUY Creative Stick it up gum

Over Fashion Week,  I worked with Toni & Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe to create a variety of looks using products based around their four key looks, Glamour, Casual, Creative & Classic. I was also lucky enough to interview the lovely Lulu Kennedy about her role working with Toni &Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe. To correspond with London Fashion Wee a set of limited edition packaging with designs by Lulu Kennedy was released. If you're unaware who Lulu she is creative director of Lulu & Co, Fashion East founder, and Love magazine editor at large. Super passionate, engaging and someone you can't help but be inspired by. One of the coolest cats you'll ever meet.

She explained to me that she wasn't able to change the shape of the product but was given creative freedom of the designs. She told me how she was inspired by various looks, women and decades to created dozens of outstanding mood boards based on each theme. I've seen some of the mood boards and can totally vouch for their impressiveness. Her team went through tons of fonts, designs and ideas before settling on the bold graphic designs. TONI&GUY Casual Sea Salt Spray was inspired by the photos of Marilyn Monroe at the beach, really carefree and casual with a "windswept Americana" feel.  TONI&GUY Classic Shine & Gloss Serum is very mod and Sixties - black and white and very Mary Quant. TONI&GUY Glamour Volume Plumping Whip  was all about modern day glamour pussies like Rosie Huntington Whitley, all sleek and curled. TONI&GUY Creative Stick it up gum's packaging  was inspired by rap culture and girls like Grimes.

Overall I think the range is really fun and eye catching, and I love the story behind the limited edition packaging. You can see how the items should be used on me in their individual posts that we put together over London Fashion Week (see Glamour, Casual, Creative & Classic). But my pick for the limited edition stuff is definitely the TONI&GUY Casual Sea Salt Spray. Just a really good spray for adding texture and interest to the hair without making it feel dry and gritty. It was Lulu's favourite product too. Lulu Kennedy's Limited Edition range for Toni & Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe is available now from or at selected Boots nationwide.

  2. It's actually pretty interesting to realise that there's a whole story behind these products. I'd love to try the sea salt spray, I don't think the one I'm using now is that great.

  7. i completely fell in love with all the looks created with your hair and to be given the chance to play around with the products used is one that cannot be missed! i like how there's 3 areas to the range, all with their different inspirations and all to be used to create different looks. i really like the sound of the casual sea salt spray and the glamour volume pumping whop but to be honest, i'll probably end up picking them all up in store (you just can't down limited edition products ;) ) X
