cheap real techniques brushes

real techniques brushes via iHerb

A few days ago, I decided to obtain some more of my favourite brushes from Real Techniques. As I'm sure, most folks are aware Real Techniques is a makeup brush brand by the amazingly talented Samantha Chapman of Pixiwoo fame. Real Techniques brushes are all made with synthetic hair, which makes them 100% cruelty-free and are some of the best makeup brushes I've ever used. They are of impeccable quality and help apply makeup with ease. I remembered that when I wrote a detailed post on the Real Techniques Face brushes (see here) a few months ago I mentioned that if you purchase them via a website called iHerb you could get them much cheaper than you can in the UK. I decided to take my own advice and give the website a go.

For all these brushes, I paid £34. I will say that I did have to pay import duty, which was another £11. But still it worked out as £45 all together. In the UK these all these Real Techniques brushes would have cost me £65.96 (UK Boots Prices as of today with no deals). So even despite the eye wincing import duty it was still cheaper by over £20 than purchasing them from my local Boots. Smaller orders or waiting a little bit longer and getting it sent via standard mail might mean you can sneakily avoid the import duty, but I chose delivery via DHL which will add the import duty on. Shipping from the USA took just three days, How speedy is that? I've never been sent something from abroad so quickly! That's better than second class here in the UK.

Personally I think it's an impressive deal, and I can't praise iHerb and Real Techniques enough! Its a cheeky little deal you don't mind waiting a few extra days to get your hands on them. Especially with that sort of saving! For the record this isn't sponsored, I just thought I'd mention it because it is such a deal and a considerable saving on buying them off the highstreet.

You can find the brushes on the website here. Plus if it's your first time ordering you can use the code GPN525 for $10 off over $40 or $5 off orders smaller than that. I'd highly recommend the Expert Face Brush and the eye brushes.

  34. I usually buy my brushes from h&m cause they never cost more than 70kr (£7) at least. Just the other day I bought a kabuki brush for 60kr (£6) and they're usually really expensive. I never spend more than needed on a brush!:) http://www.clairebells.blogspot.com
