Little Mix Elegant Touch Jesy Nails
Little Mix's nail collection is with Elegant Touch, a nail brand I'm a huge fan of and have raved about in the past. I actually helped them with their rebrand about a year ago. Their nails are always different, brilliant quality and a good price. I picked the Jesy nails, which are all gothic glamour inspired. The accent nails include a silver studded nail, a 3d spiked nail and a 3d chain. There are 10 embellished nails and an addition 14 nails that are either plain black or holographic/metallic silver. The only nail I had issues with was the 3d spiked one as a few of the spikes fell off after 24 hours. Although, I was doing a lot of hands on things so if I were a little gentler it might have lasted longer. The chains still feel firmly attached, and much to my surprise they haven't gotten caught on anything. It's worth mentioning that these nails are much smaller than your average false nail. I found them all to fit perfectly without and filing down or trimming. They weren't too long and wear very comfortably. The size doesn't surprise me as the Little Mix audience is a lot younger. Therefore, more likely to have a smaller nail bed. It's good to see they've thought of this because some nails are so huge and I'm always picking through trying to find the smallest, most petite looking nails!
What I found odd though is that these nails didn't actually come with a nail glue, just those awful adhesive pads. I'd like the option of at least having the glue like the L'oreal Nails-a-Porter which comes with glue and tabs. I think the tabs are absolutely rubbish and do not last on my nails no matter what I try to do with them. If you do want a fail-safe Nail Glue, then I wholeheartedly recommend the Nailene Brush on Glue. Its odd for them not to include it, but maybe this is again a nod to their younger audience because I'm sure some shops don't sell nail glue to under 16's.
In terms of value for money, I think these nails are exceptional. At about £6 a box, they are excellent quality and highly embellished. You can either use them as solely accent nails and get a good couple of nail sets out of them or go full on statement nails like me. These Jesy nails are perfect for Halloween, and I really like Perrie's space inspired ones. Leannes's ones are a little tacky and "youthful" for my taste, and I cant even remember what Jade's were like off the top of my head. Out of all of them though I really think Jesy's set are the unique and appealing. I love the spikes and the embellishments, and I've not seen any nails in the press on nail market so highly decorated and 3D. Although the Little Mix branding is a little off putting to a non-fan, so consequently could be overlooked by nail enthusiasts. The nails are really nice. It just goes to prove, don't judge a book by its cover and not all celebrity branded or endorsed products are a bit of ol' tat!
