mac BRule & MAC WEDGE, BOURJOIS COLOUR BOOST IN PLUM RUSSIAN, CLARINS Be Long Mascara*
Today I thought I'd experiment a little and go with nude eyes and vampy lips. It's one of those autumn winter looks that seems to come around every year, but I can never quite jump on the bandwagon. To create this look I used MAC Brule all over the lid with a touch of MAC Wedge in the crease to create some shape. These two shadows are must have MAC shades as they are really basic matte shades which can be worked into loads of looks. I like to use them when I go for a clean contoured eye look as they are natural but also make a lot of difference to the eye shape. However you could always just not wear shadow at all, but I think it adds a little something. I then went in with the Clarins Be Long Mascara, I'm undecided on if I like this or not yet. It gives good length, and the brush is very small and coats each lash with ease. I think I'd just prefer the formula to be a little less wet as it can be a little messy. It's very black and lengthening though which is ideal for a look like this as you want the eyes to look emphasised without the use of liner. For lips, I used the newest shade from the Bourjois, Bourjois Colour Boost in Plum Russian. A reddy berry shade with a glossy finish. As I the lips to have a really juicy, just bitten type feel to them, so this was perfect. Once the gloss wears off it leaves a balmy stain behind which is really good when going to a dramatic lip look. Overall I quite like the look. It's glamorous and pretty without being too overdone. I kept the rest of the face really natural with a glowy bronzed cheek. It's really pretty and would look lovely going into the autumn months.
Have you tried the vampy lips, nude eyes look?
