St Tropez Instant Tan Wash Off Face & Body : £10*

I've been sitting on this review for a while as I did want to give it a proper test before reporting back. During LFW, I was asked to do a video with St Tropez talking about self tan and the importance of it backstage. As people can be a little iffy about partnered content, I did want to give St Tropez Instant Tan Wash Off Face & Body a proper, honest review. I wanted to make sure I'd tried it multiple times to make sure it lived up to the claims completely.

The St Tropez Instant Tan Wash Off Face & Body is a "no streaks lotion glides onto the skin to give a natural, golden tan that lasts for up to 24 hours". First off, Ill put my hands up and say really like the tan. It does precisely what it claims to do. It doesn't streak or run at all, and I'm talking those nights were someone seems to spill their entire drinks down your dress/legs it doesn't budge. I found it very easy to apply (I recommend using a mitt) on to dry skin plus didn't feel drying or hard to apply. It gives even, brightening colour to the body without that horrible orange cast you get with some self tanners. Very much a sort of "inner glow" type of product, rather than bronzed up to a "David Dickinson" type of glow. I have the shade light/medium, which is probably a lot fairer than I'd typically go for. Especially considering I'm not all that fair to begin with. It does come in two intensities, Light/Medium and Medium/Dark. You can see the difference in colour when applied (left leg is tanned, other is my natural skin tone). This tan is suitable for layering, but I thought I'd show you what one coat looks like. It's very subtle, but it blur's out all the dark areas and kitty scratches on my legs to give an even glowing finish. It lasts as long as it claims, obviously after a night out the first thing we all do in the morning is have a good shower and a scrub. It washes off straight in the shower with warm, soapy water and doesn't stain the skin.

The main selling point for me on this is that it's fast, instant colour. I often decide to go out last minute so having a quick bronze up is something I stress about. A lot of the instant self tanners for example Rimmel Sun Shimmer run at the first sign of moisture. So whenever a rain cloud looms or a drunk buffon bumps into me, I'm left with streaky legs to rival a tiger. It doesn't stain my clothing or my sheets like other instant tans. Plus its the perfect cheats instant tan, I've been really pleasantly surprised by the tan. It's currently on offer in Boots for about £7, but St Tropez have also offered up some samples to you guys! f you'd like to trial this new Instant Tan Wash Off Face & Body. Just comment on their LFW video (here) which I so wonderfully presented (I was so nervous/stressed) saying why you'd like to win.
Be sure to comment on this video if you'd like to win some of the Instant Tan!

  10. This is my favourite tan to use without a doubt, well the brand St. Tropez is, you get better results if you pay a little bit more with fake tan.

  13. St Tropez really does live up to it's hype for me, I tend to savour my bottle of it a little bit as I can only afford to buy them when they are on offer but I think they're worth the money.

  20. I use St Tropez Gradual Tan and although it smells vile and feels sticky it certainly does the job in making me appear less like a walking corpse and more like I've just arrived back from a weekend in the south of France!!
