christmas gifts: soap and glory girl-o-whirl

This might come as a shock to some people but I've never actually been given one of this iconic Soap and Glory gift hampers that come out every year.  Y'know the ones that contain all the bath and body products ever. Thats standard gift giving right? However this year Soap and Glory are releasing a TON of Christmas gift sets, including skincare ones, body ones and makeup ones. I think it's something like 40+ different combinations! For me the hero is definitely the Soap and Glory Girl-O-Whirl set.

The Girl-O-Whirl kit contains a plethora of makeup goodies from Soap and Glory. The product contains 6 eyeshadows, 6 lipsticks, Thick and Fast Super Volume Mascara, Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Nudist, Glow all out luminising face powder, Solar Powder blush and bronzer duo, an eyeshadow brush, a lip brush and a blusher brush. Now I've not tried and of these as I think I'm going to give this to my sister as I know she'll love it. But I've read a ton of reviews on Soap and Glory things, including the Thick and Fast Mascara and the Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Sticks. I had the bronzer and illuminating powder used on me while at the launch event and I can confirm they are really good quality and look lovely on. I imagine the total value of this set is quite high from this set as there is a ton of products crammed into it.  Packaging wise this appeals to me much more than the old Soap and Glory branding. It feel's fresher and appeals more to a wider audience, I was not sold on the uber girly pink packaging! The only thing I really don't like are the eyeshadow shades, but thats because I personally more neutral eyeshadows but Im sure that the darker shades will appeal to others!

These are going to be on sale for £19 (RRP: £40) for one week starting from TOMORROW at Boots & Boots.com (bookmark the link here!). I imagine this is going to be a total sell out so make sure you get in quick! If you're in the market for a great fail safe gift for a friend or family member then I'd recommend this whole heatedly. I'd even recommend it as a gift to yourself if you wanted to try a ton of Soap and Glory makeup without buying it all individually. The makeup range from Soap and Glory has a great reputation and I hear is actually quite good.  I really want to try out some of the items in this kit too… maybe my sister won't get this one actually…

  3. Nice products but I don't like the fact that they are stuck inside the black plastic packaging :/ I had something similar last year whereby the eye shadows were single pans stuck inside which really bugged me. Other than that though it's a great bargain as the make up is really lovely.

  16. This is a great article and I am glad I came across it. Since Christmas is coming, I am looking online for gift ideas for my daughter. She is at that age now where she likes clothes and such. This make-up option looks like it would be a good idea. Last year I got her different circle lenses she could wear and she loves them. She likes to match all different things with her outfits and this was another way she could. Maybe this year I will get her a new coat and shoes. Thanks for the great post!
