I am currently running a giveaway over on my Youtube channel for a great big box of Maxfactor goodies. Including the whole Wild Collection which I talked about in this introduction post here. I promise full reviews are coming soon but you can see some of the products in action in the two makeup looks that I've done within the video. To enter you must be subscribed to my Youtube channel and then comment something, anything. It really doesn't matter what you say as long as your comment in there! Read the T&C's over in the bottom bar on the video page. But all you really need to know is that the giveaway ends on August 5th and that the winner will be announced via a video sometime after that! Best of luck! And if you decide to take on my Wild Beauty Challenge please remember to leave it as a video response so I can watch your interpretations of the looks!

A few weeks ago I went to Wireless Festival with Birchbox (see my full post here) but before I went along they treated me to a hair styling session over at the KMS Salon. As the wearther was predicted to bve one of the hottest days of the year I decided to go for a side braid. I've done sidebraids before but nothing like the one they did on me. I had a reverse braid on the top going around into a really fancy fishtail braid. We then topped it off with a cute little floral headband that Boohoo gave me. I hadn't expected to have such a girly hairstyle so I did have to quickly call up my housemate for a outfit change.  Wearing my hair up was one of the best ideas ever as it kept me cool while also looking super stylish. I had my nails painted in Color Clubs's Reign in Spain which is a beautiful poppy coral pink. Super punchy and really eye-catching.  I was also given a awesome goody bag which included Twistband, The BalmCoola. I've found the Twistbands super useful as they are so easy to use and no snags or lines in my hair!

A big thank you to Birchbox for taking me along, and the wonderful people at the salon getting me festival ready! Birchbox is a beauty subscription service where you can subscribe for £10 a month and get a variety of beauty and lifestyle samples sent to your door. I personally think it is one of the better Subscription boxes out there as the variety is more noticeable and their are good variety within the boxes!

Bourjois Colour Boosts in Peach on The Beach, Red Sunrise and Orange Punch: £7.99*

I've been meaning to review these for a while now and they've been sitting in my to review box. The Bourjois Colour boosts are the latest addition to the Chubby Lip pencil game. Although I've not really been sold on the whole Chubby Lips trend (when will it end) I was excited to see the shade range in these. Colour Boost comes in four eye popping shades including Red Sunrise (summery red raspberry), Fushia Libre (bright pink with a hint of blue), Orange Punch (orange with a hint of red) and Peach On The Beach (pinky orange). The formula melts into the lips leaving a veil of colour and shine. Non sticky, super glossy and feel really lovely on the lips.

Max Factor Mega Volume Mascara, Max Factor Wild Shadow Pencils,Max Factor Wild Shadow Pots

Today I had a meeting with Max Factor to introduce  and talk me through the new Wild Collection. Although there are some items from Max Factor I adore (their polishes and False Lash effect!) Max Factor seem to have much older audience and therefore a lot of their products are aimed towards 30+ women. They felt they were really lacking more youthful and coloured focused products. So here's where The Wild Collection comes in. Max Factor's boldest, most eye catching a vibrant collection from the to date. The products from this launch include a super chubby mascara un the form of the Wild Mega Volume Mascara, Wild Shadow pencils and new Wild Shadow pots.

Max Factor Wild Mega Volume Mascara (RRP: £6.99) has been designed with short hollow soft bristles with an hourglass shape. Claiming to blacken the lashes instantly while also plumping up the volume of the lashes for high impact looks day or night. Max Factor Wild Shadow Pencils (RRP: £5.99) come in 8 eye catching shades including Savage Silver (bright, clean silver), Vicious Moss (a darkened green), Fierce Lime (a punchy bright green), Untamed Pink (muted pink), Caramel Rage (chocolate brown), Bold Sapphire (a smokey blue), Brazen Gold (yellow gold) and Blue Ice Fury (a cool blue). These are called "gel pencils" which combine cream shadow and eyeliner in one. These would be great to add a pop of colour, line the eye or smudged all over for a effortless smokey eye. The gel like texture gives bold colour instantly and blends out like a dream. The Max Factor Wild Shadow Pots (£6.99) promise to bring big impactful colour to the lids. These are great because they and can be applied wet and dry, and when they are used wet the pigment is insane. With names like Untamed Green, Defiant White and Turquoise Fury these are packed full of pigment and create high impact when worn. I especially like Feral Brown, Sapphire Rage and Pale Pebble.

I spent some time  Mel Arter, a Max Factor Makeup artist and we created two looks using the new Wild Collection products. She showed me how to use the products to get the best possible pay off and some creative ways to include brights into my daily makeup. She demonstrated this on me by creating a blue cat eye using the Max Factor Wild Shadow Pot in Sapphire Rage and a small angled brush. This created a simple twist on how I normally do my makeup but bringing some colour into the look. I actually really liked it and I've worn it all day. Mel gave me the two face charts and I'm going to be recreating them at home in the near future so watch this space!

My first foray into the world of Youtube makeup videos! I've been wanting to do it for a while now but I've just never had the means/desire to do one. The look I've been wearing a lot recently has been super highly requested so I gave it a go. It's the simple eye makeup I've been wearing loads recently and was my go-to look when I was away on holiday recently. I really hope you enjoy!

Bourjois 1 Second Nail Polish in Turquoise Block: £5.99
Bourjois 1 Second Nail Polish in In the Navy: £5.99

It's rare that when something drops through my door (I'd say lands on my desk, but I'm not that pretentious yet!) that it really excites me. However when these Bourjois 1 Seconde Gel Nail polishes where unceremoniously ripped from their packaging I knew it was love at first sight. Turquoise Block and In the Navy are two perfect summer shades in one of my all time favourite nail polish formulas. The 1 Seconde Nail Polish from bourjois is designed to be used in one swipe, one coat and dries just as quick. The brush is large, rounded and flat in shape (similar to the Essie diffusion line) which makes application super easy. Depending on the pressure you can cover the tiny pinkie to a larger thumb in one swipe. I found the formula to be quite liquid-y, but very opaque and most of the time you just need one coat as they are so pigmented. Turquoise Block is a pretty turquoise cream that leads very green on me. I simply adore this and it really looks lovely against my holiday tan and pops all my outfits. In The Navy is a darkened but fresh deep blue shade, it reminds me of the sea. While I don't tend to gravitate towards such deep shades this doesn't look too dark on the nail or make my hands look weird.

At £5.99 and coming in a variety of shades I'd highly recommend the Bourjois 1 Second nail polishes. The formula is on point with a lovely selection of shades. Turquoise Block is the perfect summer shade and look's wicked contrasted with a tan. I'd hot foot down to Boots if I were you...

Essie Lapis of Luxury, Ciate Headliner*, Nubar Jaded*, GOSH Venus*, 2True Shade 15*
Today I pulled some of my favourite summer ready blue nail polishes and swatched a few up for your viewing pleasure. We'll start off with Essie Lapis of Luxury which is a beautiful cornflower blue. The application is very smooth and glides onto the nail with ease. The wider brush makes painting your nails completely effortless because its so wide you can vary the pressure of your stroke to cover your whole nail. This makes application a complete dream. Ciat Headerliner is a mixture between blue and green, a sort of dusky turquoise with a creme finish. Nubar Jaded is a suped up turquoise, I liked the shade but the brush and application of this polish was so-so at best. GOSH Venus is a bright turquoise blue, reminds me of the Nautical trend. It's a very retro kinda shade and a little like the iconic Tiffany blue. Finally 2True shade 15 is a pretty off white with a blue tint. Possibly my favourite from the bunch as I do like off white shades with a colour going through them! What's your favourite summer ready blue?

Bourjois is coming hard and fast with new on trend colour collections at the moment and today I thought I'd take you throughout a few of the things gracing the aisles at your local Boots or Superdrug. Now these only dropped through my door a few days ago so these aren't full reviews I just wanted to share what I thought was a really strong drugstore collection. Full reviews will follow, I've already tried the Lip colours and can report they are awesome!

First up are the new Laser Toppings, coming in three shades Blue Neon, Sun Scales and Aqua Purple. These are clear topcoats with light reflecting long strings of glitter suspended in them. These can be used as either a topcoat or layered up for opaque coverage. Then I have two new shades of the 1 Seconde Nail Enamel in In The Navy and Turquoise Block. The 1 Seconde Nail formula from Bourjois is my absolutely all time favourite nail polish formula. Super glossy, quick drying and only needs one coat. Perfect summery bright polishes for the hotter months. In other nail news from Bourjois they are also releasing their own branded dotting tool which is perfect for experimenting with nail art. One end is larger than the other so you can create two different sized dots. I personally think all you need is a dotting tool and it opens up a world of new nail art designs!

Next we have the Bourjois Volume Glamour Max mascaras which come in four shades: Ultra Black, Electric Blue, Green Lagoon and Purple Mania. These mascaras are all small, travel friendly sizes and are perfect for holidays. They claim to be 24 hour waterproof and give 10x volume to the lashes. I'll give these a whirl soon and report back on my findings. Coloured mascara is making a comeback in a big way so Im looking forward to trying them out!

And lastly we have my favourite items from the new collections the Bourjois Colour Boost Lip pencils.
