ode to an eyeliner

Guerlain Eyeliner in 01 NOIR EBÈNE

Today I wanted to write a little ditty for my favourite eyeliner of all-time the Guerlain Eyeliner. I cant write songs so a blog post will have to do... I'm sure you've heard me talk about this in pretty much all of my FOTD's ever, but I can hand on my heart say this is my favourite eyeliner ever.

Reading back over my original review of the product, I see I wasn't being really blown away by it. I liked it, but not that much. Regardless, over time I realised I simply couldn't live without this golden packaged beauty. So on the evening on my repurchase of the product I just wanted to share again how much I love this product. It's super luxe, glamorous and such a luxury but a product I can't live without. A very pigmented glossy black with a slight lacquer finish which conjures up images of Old Hollywood glamour. The packaging reminds me of a calligraphic ink well, with the formula is no different. It glides onto the eyes with easy and creates catflicks with the flick of a wrist. While £33 for an eyeliner is a little bit eyewatering, I'ts worth every single penny and I'm so happy that I can firmly call this Holy Grail. Guerlain Eyeliner - I Love you
What's your favourite eyeliner?

  1. I was drawn in my the lovely image on your post! I am also a fan of liquid eye liner, I actually find the Topshop one is great value for money! I was bought the Bobbi Brown duo set with the brown and black eyeliner pots and I find them surprisingly easy to use and really long lasting too!

  10. Oh, this looks like such a beautiful eyeliner! I'm in love with the beautiful gold packaging - so luxe. I have a NARS eyeliner which I love, but when it runs out, I'm definitely going to keep this Guerlain one in mind! I know people rave on about Stila for eyeliners too, so it'll be interesting to see which one gets my pick!

  11. Just purchased this based on your review! I usually go for rimmel glam eyes because I love the applicator, but it does smudge sometimes. This applicator looks really similar and I've been struggling to find one like it! Looking forward to trying it out :)

  16. I'm really getting into gel eyeliners at the minute, have you tried the bobbi brown one and if so, which do you prefer? Cause I want either one, but they're both pretty pricey lol

  22. i've not worn eyeliner properly for years, it scares me half the time now when i put it on ! i used to love maybellines gel eyeliner but that has lovely become old and unused. eye pen's have been more favourable as it's easy to apply and is quite subtle for someone like me :)

  24. If you recommend a product this highly lily I definitely don't mind spending £33 on it, wanting this is definitely going to motivate me to learn how to line my eyes better because I have the most unsteady hands x

  26. The Lorac liquid liner seems to have a bit of a lacquer finish too which I absolutely love! Not quite so much as the Guerlain one but still a great finish. I can't imagine spending quite so much on eyeliner but ahh it's so lovely. Thanks for this review!
