clarins instant eye makeup remover dupe

clarins instant eye makeup remover dupereview swatch photo

clarins instant eye makeup remover : £17
L'oreal absolute eye and lip makeup remover : £4.99

The Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover is a product that I always rave about. It literally removes heavy duty eye makeup with just one swipe of a cotton pad. Last year I must have gone through at least 3 of these bad boys, but at £17 a pop they don't come cheap. I'll have to credit Emma for this one as she was the person who let me know of the similarities between the two products. The L'Oreal Absolute Eye and Lip Makeup Remover is pretty much the same product as the Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover. Like the Clarins version it's a dual phase makeup removing solution which you shake up, apply to a cotton pad and wipe. Waterproof mascara is dissolved on touch, lashes are left conditioned and it doesnt feel greasy. I wholeheartedly think this does exactly the same job as the Clarins one. I'll definitely be getting the cheaper option in the future as I really do think they are essentially the same product but in different packaging. Why spend the £17 when you can get the same thing for £4.99 (and often for around the £3 mark as it's always on offer!) Snap it up right now!

Will you be trying the L'oreal version?

  1. I purchased the L'Oreal product due to your recommendation! I have never tried the Clarins one, but the L'Oreal is amazing. Finally a product I can use to take off all my waterproof make up. So thank you for mentioning it! Xx

  4. I've been using the L'Oreal remover for some time now and think it's great although I find the bottle a pain to use as I can't quite get the pour right! The packaging style is great for storing tho - love clean lines.

  19. I've tried both of these and I agree they do the same job. Boots no7 also do a similar one which works out cheap when they have their £5 off skincare vouchers. X

  25. Nothing excites me more than discovering a cheap dupe and this is one I definitely need to try! I only ever wear waterproof mascara because living in rainy Ireland and having hayfever means my eyes are exposed to water from all angles, so it would be great to have the mascara wiped off without spending ages!

  28. I haven't tried any of the l'oreal skin care range, I may have to pick this up as my simple one isn't quite hacking it. Another Clarins dupe the No7 melting gel cleanser is quite similar to the pure melt cleanser.
