one step pre-soaked pads

review swatch photo

Cane and Austin Acne Pads : £48
Nip & Fab Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads : £12.99*
Origins Spot Remover Blemish treatment pads : £23*

One step, easy to use, pre soaked pads are taking the beauty world by storm. I’m always forgetting to buy cotton pads, and I’ve been known… don't judge… to apply liquids or remove makeup with a tissue. Shame on me! I don't recommend that but here are a few one step beauty wipes without the faff.

Cane and Austin Acne Pads

The Cane and Austin Acne Pads came highly recommended to me by a few people and at £40 they aren’t cheap. Pads are soaked generously with a 2% Salicylic Acid solution which gently exfoliates the skin and reduce spot size. They also remove dead skin cells and aid cell drainage of those nasty under skin spots. Salicylic Acid is perfect for spot removal and fighting blackheads and are great for those with troubled skin. ie. Me.

Nip & Fab Glycolic Fix Exfoliating Facial Pads

Radiance boosting pads, packed full of exfoliating glycolic acid to retexture and resurface the skin. As well as soothing witch hazel helps to tone the skin and bring the PH down. One side of the pad is smooth, the other is slightly raised for added exfoliation. It leaves my skin feeling ultra clean and really refreshed when used overnight. The glycolic acid sloshes off dead skin cellsm all while bringing radiance and clarity back to the skin. It’s also a pretty cheap alternative to the cult product : Alpha H Liquid Gold. Just in a handy pre-soaked format.

Origins Spot Remover Blemish treatment pads

Another exfoliating/spot fighting pad. Salicylic Acid, Clove and Oregano which instantly help unclog pores and help fight blemishes. While Saw Palmetto helps minimize breakouts and reduce oil production of the skin. The original Origins Super Spot Remover is one of my favourites, and these pads are a nice addition to the range as you can cover more of your face with the solution. Perfect for those with extreme acne breakouts. It helps dry spots out from day one and leave the skin feeling cleansed and fresh. These do a similar job as the Cane and Austin ones, but I think I personally prefer the latter despite the heftier price tag.
Have you tried any of these?

  1. I've always been intrigued by one step pre-soaked pads, and whether or not they were any good, but these all sound brilliant!

  6. The first two really interest me, but it's the first I've heard of Nip & Fab? If it really does compare to Alpha H I'd be willing to try them, I've been uhhming and ahhing about purchasing Alpha H, I think the price puts me off slightly!
