The Estee Lauder Double Wear Brush on Glow BB Highlighter is E'Lauder answer to the YSL Touche Eclat - in BB form.  I'm not a fan of the YSL Touche Eclat - It's a bit pants. This product is marketed as brush on highlighter in a twisting tube which brightens shadows, covers the signs of fatigue and highlight the face.

As spring is well and truly sprung I am on the hunt for a replacement of my favourite highlighter - Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder. The finish of the Estee Lauder Double Wear Brush-On-Glow BB Highlighter reminds me a little of a liquid version of Benefit's Watts Up. But then also has qualities that reminds me of the By Terry Touche Veloutte, a concealer/highlighter hybrid. It provides a subtle inner glow while illuminating and brighting which I think looks stunning. It actually conceals really well too - which genuinely surprises me as BB to me suggests it would be low coverage. Estee Lauder Double Wear Brush on Glow BB Highlighter is available in 8 shades, including one universal shade. Great for on the go and it claims to last up to 8 hours before fading.

It's hard to capture in photographs, but I absolutely LOVE this highlighter and I can see it being a firm favourite in my routine going forward. It just adds enough luminance to the face without looking unnatural or harsh. Love it.

  1. It would be interesting to see how this compares to the touché éclat as I love that it adds such a glow to my face yet to try something better, I do wish brands would get over this BB CC stuff though its a tad gimmicky, bb cream bb for eyes....bb for hair...bb highlighter - I can't keep up haha! 1. I dont have touche eclat but I've used friends before and I've never been impressed by it. it's not even designed to conceal but alot of people use is as concealer when thats not it's correct purpose. It's more like the by terry touche veloutte which is a concealer and highlighter hybrid!

im sick of the bb cc dd ee whatever next trend! its so done and it's just a dumb beauty buzzword these days!

    2. Products are typically made for a purpose but they can always be used in other ways, there's not a incorrect way to use a product it's however the user decides.;) how is the Terry hybrid? I've never tried it before but it sounds interesting? What store is it sold from? Xx

  7. I'm really interested in this highlighter. I'm also not a big fan of the touche eclat YSL, but I just ordered the one from Charlotte Tilbury, can't wait for it! Xx Alessia

  13. I've been using something similar to this from MAC recently which has really helped to brighten under my eyes. Sometimes, I think concealers are too heavy around the eye area, so definitely opting for more lightening and brightening products instead.

  15. I hadn't heard about this product yet but it seems nice! I use the Double Wear concealer, and it might be nice to combine this BB concealer with it.
