get a better nights sleep

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray review swatch photo
how to get a better nights sleep
natural sleep remedies

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray : £30.00 (250ml) or £16 (75ml)

Getting a good nights sleep is really important, if you don't sleep well, everything else suffers. I struggle with sleeping. I have done ever since I was a child, I also suffer from frequent night terrors so the idea of going to bed for me isn't the most relaxing of ordeals. To celebrate (is that even the right word?) National Sleep Awareness week (2-9th March) This Works have released a super size version of their best settling natural sleep remedy - This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. I’ve actually gone through a few of these in the past, so the 250ml (its over 3 x the regular size) bottle is the one. A blend soothing scent of calming Lavender, Vetivert and relaxing Wild Camomile all work together as a natural sedative preparing you to sleep.

I am very cynical when it comes to products like this, and used to think these Pillow Sprays and stuff were a load of old rubbish. You have to remember nothing is going to put you instantly to sleep it does help reduce sleep induced anxiety. I find the scent calming, soothing and works well at helping me drift off and calm down. I feel This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray has made a huge difference to my routine - although it could be a placebo - I just find I lull into sleep quicker using this than when I don’t.

Do you struggle to sleep? Have you tried anything like this?

  1. Never tried anything like this before but it does sound interesting. I have a bit of a weird sleeping pattern and especially at the moment with dissertation filming taking place for the month, I'm having to get up at 4am and try to have early nights (which is something I really struggle with)

Difficult to tell whether it really works or if it's a placebo effect, but either way I'm glad it's working for you Lily :)

  7. Bedtime is so important. I would love to try this stuff it's just a little on the pricey side for me :/ Maybe one day! I think i'll just stick with putting lavender oil on my pillows for now :D

  9. I use the Deep Sleep Pillow Spray too and I just love it. I have wondered if it's a placebo effect too, I'm a psych student so it's in my nature, but it just smells too nice and relaxing so I could care less! Xx

  11. i am, personally, very lucky in that i can quickly go to sleep but i understand how stressful it must be for those that do struggle and i think that products like this have really provided a great product for people that do suffer from lack of sleep issues. i do occasionally find it a little harder to get to sleep than usual and i think something like this would probably help so i may check it out, however, i'm not the biggest fan of lavender scents. i guess we'll see... :) X

  12. I've seen a few posts about this and I was never really interested until I recently rediscovered my love for pillow sprays in general! The ones I've been loving are from Jo Malone and L'Occitane but this This Works one sounds really lovely and relaxing as well.

  14. I use this pillow spray and find it really does help to sooth the senses when drifting off. I can still get to sleep without it but it definitely adds another lovely element to the ritual of going to bed :) x

  18. Definitely need to try this, I feel like I spend most of my night staring at the ceiling and tossing and turning, I've always wanted to use my candle to calm me to sleep but falling asleep with a candle burning is definitely not the safest! This sounds like a good alternative!

  21. I go through periods where I suffer with Insomnia although touch wood I've been ok for quite a while now. I'd love to try something like this out but the problem is they all contain lavender. For a start I can't stand the smell and a couple of years ago I discovered that I actually appear to be allergic to it. So a spray containing lavender certainly wouldn't help me get to sleep in any way x

  22. I've been looking for something for so long to help me with my sleep. I also suffer with a lot of frequent night terrors and it's becoming quite the pain when I have to rock up to work with bags under my eyes - thank god for make up! I'm definitely going to have to check this out! Thanks for posting about it!
