lived in texture

lived in hair texture

Lived in texture is going to be bigger than ever this year. It's always been a thing, but maybe it's time it's actually going to be taken seriously as it was seen all over the SS and AW catwalks. Textured, matte hair looks really modern and pretty darn sexy. It's rock n' roll and edgy and a very simple trend to get on board with. Getting the nonchalant "I woke up like this" look isn't as simple as you'd hope. My bed head is something to rival Cousin It so I do need to put the effort in to get my hair looking how I like it. A lot of mussing up and some spritzes from my hair Things like volumising dusts, dry shampoo, sea salt sprays and matte texture sprays are going to be THE hero products of 2014.

Not like I'm biased or anything as messy hair is totally my thing... Embrace Messy hair.

  7. I love the messy textured look on shorter hair. My hair is about your length but I have wavy hair naturally so thankfully don't need too many products but will deffo have to check out some of the ones you recommended. Is the Bumble and Bumble spray any good? £21 for hairspray seems ludicrous

  9. Love your jumper! I have actually been embracing a smoother and sleeker look with my hair recently, been getting a bit tired of the textured look I usually rock. I'm sure I'll go back to the 'bed head' look again sooner or later though ;) xx

  17. Bumble and Bumble's Brilliantine is very nice for the 'lived in texture' look as well. WAY expensive though (in Australia anyway).

  18. i'm quite lucky in that my hair naturally has a lot of texture and so is pretty easy to style but i would love to be able to have that sexy, messy, gritty hair that just oozes edge. i think i'm going to have to try some of these hair products one day soon and see if i can get that 'lived in texture'/'just got out of bed' look! :) X
