the new french manicure

new french manicure spring nail inspiration
new french manicure spring nail inspiration

rimmel 60 second nail polish in caramel cupcake & little bow peep

The stereotypical French Manicure is typically reserved for weddings and formal occasions. It’s one of those 90’s trends that has really died down and replaced with a bevvy of nail art. None the less all the runways this season seem to be showcasing a twist on the classic nail art. Long gone are the snow white tips and fleshy pink base, these new french manicures are bold, in your face and most of all fun. Think reverse half moons, diagonal and triangle tips. Dang, french manicures got edgy!

  14. Lily, do you do your own nails? They look so good, I am so jealous.

Mine always end up looking like a 5 year old has done them, then I get annoyed and just get rid of it all.

These look relatively low maintenance though, so I could give it a go!

  22. Very cool take on the classic, I'd love to try if I weren't so unsteady with putting nail polish in the first place. Maybe in the future.

    1. I'm so rubbish at putting it on too but if you let the first coat dry and then use tape to map out the next lines you can still get a sharp look ;) Much easier.
