L’Oréal Extraordinaire by Colour Riche Lip Color : £8.99

L'Oreal Colour Riche L'Extraordinaire is a highstreet addition the high-shine lip trend. Available in 16 different shades, these gloss/lipstick hybrids provide rich colour with super high shine gloss finish. The oil based formula is packed with pigmented, and feel light and moisturising on the lips. The texture is silky smooth and stays on nicely without smudging. Easy to wear, creamy and buttery smooth. Also worth noting there is not much scent but a slight sweetness which I find to be totally inoffensive!

While Im not huge on lip glosses - the high shine lip will be a big trend going into spring summer. The rich colour, creamy glossy finish and serious punch in the shine stakes will make this a popular summer launch. The packaging is typical L’oreal style, which is quite lackluster visually. It’s like they are trying to be the YSL Glossy Stains without the pizazz or luxe feel. The shade range of the L’Oréal Extraordinaire by Colour Riche Lip Color is conservative, with the usual nudes and pinks to purples and plums.

Will you be trying any of these liquid lipsticks?

  3. These definitely look really similar to the YSL glossy stains! All 3 shades look lovely on you, I like the look of Tangerine Sonate the most as I don't have many orange toned lip products (:

  5. Sounds interesting - how's wear time compared to, say, the apocolips? You're right about the packaging, it's always a bit uninspiring

  7. I love the look of these, but don't really like a gloss either! As long as it's smooth and not sticky, I should be fine! I love the look if these shades, especially Molto Mauve!

  15. L'Oreal owns YSL so it makes sense that they are similar to the Glossy Stains, they are probably made in the same factory. Pretty nonetheless.

  24. I've done a review of these on my blog too! I'm not a huge fan of glosses but these are perfect for me. They kind of remind me of their glam shine stain splashes, just more pigmented x

  29. I'm always hesitant to buy glosses, even good ones, because I know I'm going to have to reapply every hour. ): Reapplication is one of my biggest makeup pet peeves haha.

  31. I bought myself one of these on Friday in Rouge Opera and I love it so much. :D It looks great on its own, as well as over the top of a lip liner. It smells and tastes like passion fruit or mango too which is a bonus. :D

I really want to pick up more shades in the future!

  33. i doubt i'll be able to afford a ysl glossy stain in the near future but these seem like the perfect high street alternative! i'm not a huge lip gloss fan and i don't know if the 'glossy lip' trend is really me but i'm really eager to try these out. as a sufferer of really dry lips i think these will provide me with the perfect amount of moisture as well as giving a whole lot of colour! i'm definitely going to have to go and check out the full colour range and maybe pick a few! :) X

  34. Ugh, the orange one is definitely on my list, it would look great when things get a bit warmer. Not a lipgloss lover either but maybe one or two would be a nice addition to my collection.

  36. I was walking through target the other day when I saw these for first time and when I grabbed them I thought they were lipstick - much to my disappointment when I found out they are in gloss form.

But I hadn't seen anyone in them or heard anything about them yet. They look wonderful and if the formulation doesn't feel sticky I might actually get my self the coral one (so in love).
