LUsh a good hour massage £80*
Lush Spa 123 Kings Road, London SW3 4PL

Lush invited me down to their Kings Road Lush Spa to experience a Lush Treatment first hand. I'd heard rave reviews from a few people so I was really excited to see it in action. Everyone says Lush treatments are above and beyond what you'll usually get in a spa.

I decided to go for the "A Good Hour" massage - deep tissue massage with a twist. The massage itself has a sea theme which I thought was odd but when I settled into the massage I started to get it. Before I got undressed my "Lushie" popped something into a pail under the bed and filled the room with a fragrant smoke. It was SO cool and as I was getting undressed I knew from that moment this would be a massage with a difference. Then I lay down was rubbed, pulled, prodded and massaged to the theme of Sea shanties and the sound of the sea. It was very strange to hear all the classics "HEY HO BLOW THE MAN DOWN" but as it wasn't a relaxing massage it fitted quite well. If you've ever had a deep tissue massage then you know what I mean, it's weird and all the trigger points and poking around isn't that relaxing at the time but you do feel better after it has been done.

The Lush Spa itself is relaxing and tucked away under the store. The atmosphere was lovely, clean and fresh and really had a homely vibe to it. After the massage, I was given some black tea and even offered some biscuits and rum to help me get back into the zone of normal like. I walked out feeling like jelly and on a huge post massage high. I felt relaxed and totally knot free.

In all, it was an amazing all round experience. Everything was perfect and it was honestly one of the best massage experiences I've ever had. Every little detail was something super special and it was definitely A Good Hour!

  15. I don't know that we have the opportunity to indulge in Lush Spa services here in the US! But this sea themed massage sounds amazing :) How interesting that it's not very relaxing, yet you feel better. Love that they offered you tea and rum on the way out haha!

  25. I've thought of getting one of theirs before as I love spas and I love lush so it makes sense - but they just didn't look that good when I looked them up! Maybe time for a reconsider.
