YSL CC Cream Forever Light Creator

YSL CC Cream Forever Light Creator review swatch photo

YSL CC Cream Forever Light Creator*

Will the BB CC DD ZZ trend ever end? I don't think so. YSL have just launched some new correcting CC creams in the shade Rose, Lavender and Apricot. These intelligent skin correcting creams are designed to create a luminous finish and correct different skin ailments. The various shades use pigments counteract skin imperfections create a corrective veil which diminish shadows and irregularities. While you could use this alone, I feel it works best as a base before applying a foundation or BB cream. I've been using Apricot under my foundation for a week, and the result is an even, glowing skin base that beams healthy radiance. Very light and creamy and doesn't dry the skin out.

I've never been a fan of YSL bases as they tend to break me out, so I was terrified about using this one was going to leave me spotty and gross. But I actually didn't experience any breakouts at all which was a huge relief! I do really like the YSL CC Cream Forever Light Creator, but I do think they are quite expensive for what they are - Especially as just a base for something else.

  2. I really like YSL foundations, but even I think it's a bit pricey for what it is, especially if you look at competitive products available... :o) Xx

  3. I agree with the break outs! Glad to hear it didn't. Maybe a little pricey for CC, if I'm really sure what that means aha.

  5. I just reviewed a CC cream by Studio Gear in a similar price range... don't really understand the hype about BB/CC creams, either!

  8. I tried the lilac version of this the other day and it made me look dead! I thought lilac was supposed to do the opposite and brighten dull skin... Definitely won't be buying any of these anytime soon.

  9. Considering they would cost around $50 Australian I don't think this will be a product I try out any time soon, or ever most likely. Glad to hear YSL are improving their formulas though. Breaking out because of makeup is the worst! At least when you break out because of cake you get to actually eat the cake, haha.
