summer ready feet

summer foot routine

Our feet are neglected in the winter months, constantly being stuffed into boots with thick socks for months on end. As it's approaching summer it's time to start getting our feet ready to face the world. I kinda hate feet so I avoid them at all costs, but they are something we should all take care of! A bit TLC for your tootsies will really improve your feet confidence.

First give the feet a good scrub with an exfoliating scrub like Rituals Yogi Secret Foot Scrub. It's minty and cooling but with a really holistic spa scent to it. The fine gritty paste that isn't too harsh but strong enough to slough away any dead skin cells and leave feet smooth and soft. I love how cooling and refreshing this is on tired feet, and the scent really compliments the treatment. Then I'd recommend popping on a thick and nourishing foot cream like The Body Shop Africa Honey & Beeswax Hands & Foot Butter. This is so rich and decedent but isn't too greasy - it also smells delicious. Apply a generous amount and cover in socks and leave over night - come morning you feet will be softer and smoother and much more presentable! If you suffer from cracked heels then I whole hearted recommend the This Works Perfect Heels Rescue Balm. This Works products always seem to do what they say on the tin... It's so effective and you can feel a difference from first application.

If you're feeling adventurous then add a fresh coat of polish on the toes. I think coral tones on the toes look fresh this season. Models Own Hyper Gel in Coral Glaze is a good choice because it has all the benefits of gel polish but without the hassle of going to a beauty salon!

  13. I remember when I was really little, probably about 7/8, my Mum had a Body Shop Africa foot scrub in a similar sort of jar, I used to beg her to let me use it haha! The jar in this post just reminded me. Also love the sound of that heel balm xx

  20. I am dreading getting my feet out - so much so that I'm still wearing brogues into the office...which is probably making them worse! Might have to make a trip to boots or lush to purchase something to make them pretty - like you have! I always like to see what other's are using :)
