mojito flavoured mouthwash

Hello Mojito Mouthwash review swatch photo

This purchase is should be filed under ”times when Lily has bought things purely because of the packaging”. On a usual jaunt around Boots I spotted these well designed little bottles and went in for a closer look. Upon discovering it was mouthwash (much disappointment) and then realising it was Mojito flavoured (excite!) I put it straight in my basket and marched to the till.

I absolutely love Mojito’s - for those unfamiliar or too young to drink Mojito’s are limey, sugary, minty drinks of goodness. My go-to cocktail. Time for me to make a weird admission - I hate mint mouthwash. It makes me gag and retch, it’s the same with toothpaste. For years I’ve used unflavoured toothpaste or eucalyptus ones because I hate the taste of synthetic mint.

The Hello Mojito Mouthwash contains no alcohol, no dyes or sweeteners and not tested on animals. While it is quite minty, it doesn’t taste synthetic and the punch of lime cuts through the mint. After rinsing around a bit my mouth feel clean and pleasant. I found it to be quite unusual and a little gimmicky but considering I’m a bit anti mouthwash - it was a nice change. At £5.99 it's pretty expensive but you are paying for a more unique product!

Im still laughing that I’ve written this much about a mouthwash.

  3. I'm the same, I hate the taste of mouthwash but I love mojito's. I was hoping you were going to say it tastes just like a mojito but I think that's a bit too much wishful thinking for a mouthwash, still tempted to give it a try though :) xx

  8. This is hilarious. I typically use mouthwash to mask the mojito's I've had, (wink).

  11. I wasn't really sure about the idea of mojito and mouthwash together, but I can kinda see how it works. I love a good mojito so I might just have to give it a try - I'm not a fan of really strong artificial mint flavours either!

  16. I actually just bought this today in the supermint flavour, I was thinking to go for the pink grapefruit but the mint just seemed safer!

  18. I tried the grapefruit flavour - a very unusual tasting grapefruit! The packaging is cute, but would be impossible to travel with and the lid always drips after using it. Cute novelty product but I wouldn't repurchase!

  25. I'm going to give this a try , I've became the same over the past couple of weeks , it leaves me feeling really ill after brushing my teeth and using mouth wash , so I might just switch to ones without mint in it. Also totally grabbed by the packaging!

  29. Haha that´s original! i mean who´d come up with something :D?
I think it sounds great! There are people that have to use mouthwash on a dialy basis because of braces for example, and that would make it way less annoying in my opinion!
    Have a lovely day!!
