how to look awake

I very rarely sleep. I have night terrors which are currently ruining my life, but despite that I have no choice but to keep on with life and wake up early to get my work done. Two products have been responsible for taking me from Zombie Melrose to something resembling a human.

The Liz Earle Eyebright and some cotton pads have been my most reached for morning item. I have a full size a mini which I keep in my travel makeup bag. Not long after pulling myself up out of slumber - I pop the cooling lotion onto the pads and lay there for a little bit for it to sink in. So refreshing and soothing!

White was always toted as the ultimate eye open upper but it’s too harsh and too old fashioned these days. Once my makeup is applied I go in with a flesh coloured liner. In the waterline it’ll neutralise the redness and add a natural the a peachy, nude tone.  I really like the Rimmel Scandal'Eyes Waterproof Kohl Liner in Nude. At £3.99 it’s purse friendly and one not to miss out on!

  4. They both sound lovely!

Night terrors sounds awful! I hope you're ok Lily. I use Lavender pillows or Lavender oil when I have trouble sleeping, I'm not sure whether that may help at all though? x

  7. Good luck with the night terrors - sounds absolutely horrible. Nothing worse than not being able to get a good night's rest. That Kohl liner in nude is going to my to-try list (I never thought of using a nude liner before!).

  19. I use white eyeliner quite a lot to make myself look more awake but I think I should try a nude one so it doesn't looks as harsh - will definitely check out the rimmel one, especially as it's waterproof! xx
