Sooooo Im really excited to announce that over the next four weeks I’ll be doing a biiiig thing with John Frieda! I’ve made a few nods towards to what we’ve been planning and dubbed it my "summer hair project" but I can finally tell you all about it. Even though I've been dying to talk about it for ages! Over the next few week’s I'm going to be part of a series called - The Summer of Sun!
The Summer of Sun is a four part series in which I’ll be showing you four different hairstyles and trialling the Go Blonder range. It’s going to be a mix of reviews and hair styling with lots of tips and tricks a long the way. I’ve never tried the Go Blonder Range before, so I'm really intrested to see how well it works on my hair. I like to go a little lighter in the summer months so it's the perfect product to put on trial!
The products I'm going to be testing are the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Shampoo and Conditioner and the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Brightening Oil Elixir. John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Shampoo and Conditioner are a brightening and lightening duo which help lighten the hair up to 2 shades within 7-14 washes. The John Frieda Sheer Blonde Brightening Oil Elixir is a nourishing blend of Argan and Sunflower oils which protect and gently lighten the hair over time.
My first video is a festival inspired hair-do but it’s also a great way to cheat beachy hair with minimal effort. You could even use it as a not heat hairstyle if you didn’t use a straightener! You can see the video above or watch over on my youtube channel.
In addition to this John Frieda are giving away a bunch of Summer themed goodies for each hair style that I’m doing. You can enter over on their Facebook Page!

The 90’s are having a pretty big revival in fashion world at the moment so I felt it was only fitting to explore that in the beauty world. Okay - So I'm not talking about blue eyeshadow (although Kenzo did that SO well at Fashion Week) or dark brown nails... But there are a few 90’s beauty trends that are worth taking a bit of inspiration from for your 2014 look.
Brown lips were a HUGE thing in 90’s. Everyone who was anyone was sporting a brown shade on the lips. It's such an overlooked lip shade these days. But it can still be worn in 2014 - it’s just all about finding the right shade for your skin tone.
