Aaah, Beach Hair. One of the most desired hairstyles of all time. Faking those salt speckled hair do’s are much harder than they look. Today I’m sharing with your my DIY Salt Spray recipe. Some salt sprays like the Bumble and Bumble Salt Spray are awesome but are pretty pricey. This one can be made with a few items lying around your house and a spray bottle which you can purchase from pretty much any beauty supply store or even your local Boots. All you need to do is add a few heaped tablespoons of sea salt to a spray bottle of water and shake. My personal secret DIY Beach spray addition is to add a little hair gel. The hair gel gives the mixture a little extra texture and hold when styling and will enhance the mixture. Then all you need to do is spray a liberal amount into wet or damp hair and scrunch or finger comb to help encourage movement. Leave the hair to dry naturally and fingers crossed you’ll have the beachy hair of dreams. If your hair doesn’t have a natural wave then pull out a wide barrelled curling tong and curl in different directions to cheat the look a bit!

Wow talk about a eloquent name for a blog post! Two 2014 additions to the Models Own Fruit Pastels range are Models Own Coconut Cream & Models Own Peach Melba. A duo of on trend shades in suitably summery scents. I’ll admit I didn’t like the Fruit Pastel Collection - I found most of the scents really synthetic, overbearing and just… gross. However I admit I really like the Coconut Cream polish. It doesn’t smell too synthetic and quite a light coconut scent rather than a overbearing one. The tops of the polishes have a “try before you buy” scratch and sniff patch which I think is a nice touch, even though I dont think the polish smells as nice as the scratch n' sniff. Dry time is average and both polishes need two coats to give opacity. The scent is subtle and unobtrusive, you can smell it there but not too much.
Although Im not 100% sold on the idea of scented polishes - Not a fan of gimmicks like this! But they are pretty nice shades and the scents are a nice addition. If you want your talons to smell good then like all Models Own Nail polishes these retail for £5 each. Exclusive to the Models Own Bottle Shops and online.

I use the shade Medium Brown, which gives a natural groomed finish. I tend to still use pencil on my brows when filling them in because I like a more defined finish. However this is perfect for lazy days when you want to have some brows on but cant be bothered with the whole routine. It's a nice one step brow product. At £3.99, they are a superb price point for a drugstore brow product.

How many times have I said that orange is going to be huge this season? Probably not that many but it is THE on trend colour to be seen in this season. Orange looks good on everyone - trust me.
Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Riviera - My orange lipstick of choice is this bright pepped up red tinted orange. It’s matte, long lasting and comes in the coolest sleekest packaging ever. One of my beauty staples and the ultimate orange lip.
Bourjois Colour Boost in Orange Punch - A more affordable orange lip from a iconic drugstore brand. While Im bored to death of lip crayons but when these launched last summer I was addicted to the long lasting glossy stick of colour. Lightweight, fool proof and not too in you face.
Sleek Beauty Blush in Life’s a Peach - Orange cheeks can really pop the whole face and look awesome on lots of skin tones. Be careful with this one as if you use a heavy hand you might look a bit tangoed! Use a fluffy stippling brush and add colour slowly till you reach your desired hue.
Models Own Beach Party - If you’re looking for a day-glo orange nail polish then look no further than the Models Own Beach Party. It’s a insanely bright matte orange which really makes tans pop. Perfect for clubbing or Ibiza.
Diptique Oyedo Perfume -Not quite orange in colour but it is orange scented. One of the strangest perfumes I’ve ever come across which is oddly fizzy and kind of stings the nostrils before settling down to a warm, uplifting orange scent.

Since getting the chop I’ve been experiencing less hair related hot mess syndrome than I did last summer. It still doesn’t mean that I don’t feel the heat some days. Now Im not suggest y’all head over to the hairdresser and chop off your prized locks but here are four examples of hair do’s that you can do when your feeling like a hot mess.
Sock Bun - Pull your hair back into a sleek high bun and use a sock as a “hair rat” to give a bit of volume and shape. You could always use a hair donut if you have one to hand!
Fishtail Braid - These are much easier to do than they look. Check youtube for visual tutorials but what you do is take the back section and cross it over the front and repeat until braided down.
Milkmaid Braid - A little trickier than other hairstyles on this list but once you get this hair technique down it’s a winner. If you have longer hair you can cheat a milkmaid braid by splitting the hair into two braids and wrapping them around the head.
The Simple Tuck - I recently did a video on this super easy hairstyle over on my Youtube Channel but it basically involves tucking your hair into a headband until it looks like a roll at the back. One of my favourite hairstyles as it’s suitable for pretty much all hair lengths.
